Chapter 292 The Whole Family Returns to Zelphoria
Alexander originally thought it would take a long time to persuade Adeline to go back with him.
Unexpectedly, Adeline agreed very readily.
This made Alexander eager to return to Zelphoria.
Adeline prepared his medicine and told him her plan. "Grandpa, you go back to Zelphoria first. I'll pick up Grandma and then come to Zelphoria to find you."
"I won't go back first." Alexander didn't want to be separated from Adeline.
Adeline chuckled. "Grandpa, the medical conditions here are limited. I need to give you comprehensive treatment, and many of the necessary herbs are not available here."
"Then I'll go with you to see your grandma." Alexander was firm on this point. "She is a benefactor of our Vanderbilt Family. I should have personally visited to thank her long ago."
Adeline couldn't stop him anymore.
Before leaving, Adeline went to see Lorenzo.
Lorenzo had woken up, and his sharp eyes softened into a smile when he saw Adeline. "Savannah."
There seemed to be a magical bond between siblings. Even if they weren't close before, a few words could bring them together.
"We'll back you up on your marriage with the Livingston family." Lorenzo stroked Adeline's long hair. "You don't have to marry him. When we get to Zelphoria, you can choose whoever you like."
Adeline laughed. "Lorenzo, take good care of your injuries. I can handle this myself."
"Alright, but don't forget, I'm here for you." Lorenzo remembered how she had rescued him from the cellar with such skill and decisiveness. She must have been bullied before to have developed such abilities.
Adeline didn't know what Lorenzo was thinking. If she did, she would say it was all a misunderstanding.
She had never been bullied.
They talked for a long time.
Lorenzo seemed to have endless things to say. He showed her childhood photos. "You loved to eat back then. Look at you, your face covered in sugar crumbs."
"Actually, I have no memory of the Vanderbilt Family." Adeline wouldn't lie to someone who was sincere with her. "Whether I am a Vanderbilt or not still needs a DNA test."
Lorenzo paused and looked at her. "Just tell me you have no memory. No need to tell others. Besides, you were just over a year old then. It's normal not to remember."
"You are Savannah." Lorenzo's eyes reddened. "Don't worry, if anyone doubts you, I'll deal with them."
Adeline had long sensed the chaos within the Vanderbilt Family.
Otherwise, her subordinates wouldn't describe the Vanderbilt Family as a dragon's den.
A DNA test was definitely necessary.
This was very simple for Adeline.
In fact, she had already taken their hair to the lab for testing yesterday.
Now she was just waiting for the results.
But her test alone wouldn't be enough.
When she got to Zelphoria, there would be plenty of people wanting her to take a DNA test.
Her test was for Alexander and Lorenzo to see.
At first, Alexander didn't understand why the hospital doctor gave him an envelope.
When Alexander saw what was inside, his eyes suddenly filled with tears.
Terry saw the test results, including the signature at the bottom.
"Ms. Vanderbilt did this first because she was afraid you'd find it hard to bring up."
Terry's voice was clear. "Ms. Vanderbilt is more thorough than any of us."
"She just doesn't think about herself." Alexander clutched the envelope. "You go back to Zelphoria and prepare. I don't want Savannah to be questioned when she returns to Zelphoria."
"Yes."
