Chapter 118 How to Tip

Robert had a ton of secrets.

For instance, his sense of smell was off the charts. He could sniff out stuff that most people wouldn't even notice.

If Robert said something smelled bad, so it was related to poison.

Adeline was tapping her fingers on the stand, lost in thought. She was debating whether to tell Charles that the medicinal scent in his study matched the smell on Holly.

She only mulled it over for a couple of seconds.

Out in the courtyard, Summer was calling her, "Adeline, is what Vanessa said true? Has our Lumina Vitae Foundation really blown up?"

Adeline didn't need to answer; the whole afternoon, neighbors kept coming by, bombarding Summer with questions.

The live stream incident was still buzzing, and Adeline's post on social media was getting shared like crazy by Daniel from Sunnybrook Apartments.

Someone asked: [Who is this?]

Daniel: [A doctor who genuinely cares about people.]

Folks from different units exchanged looks.

Should they share this or not?

Mathias Aasheim, who usually butted heads with Daniel, wanted to clap back.

Mathias: [Daniel, don't use your work account for personal stuff; it looks unprofessional.]

But as soon as he posted that, Louis jumped in.

Louis commented: [Daniel did a great job. Start a group chat and give us the details on where she's live streaming.]

Mathias, who was already bald, looked confused.

Was Louis's comment for real? He wasn't scolding but actually encouraging?

And it wasn't just Louis; even Jenna, who usually had a short fuse, was giving props.

Jenna commented: [We need to support these grassroots efforts.]

Mathias replied: [Why?]

Jenna commented: [Mathias, got a problem? Fine, speak up; we're all ears.]

Mathias quickly deleted his comment!

He had no issue because Daniel's post seemed almost untouchable; even the retired leaders, like they were in on it, all liked it!

Clearly, Daniel didn't have more clout than he did.

Daniel, sipping his tea, glanced at Mathias and smiled politely.

Mathias grabbed his arm. "No way; you gotta tell me what's going on!"

Daniel didn't hold back and spilled everything about Adeline.

Mathias was skeptical. "Is she really that good? Better than the Mitchell Family?"

Daniel took another sip of tea. "The Mitchell Family doesn't care about regular folks. Ms. Vanderbilt is different; she treats everyone and charges fairly."

Mathias was unimpressed. "That's it?"

Daniel shook his head. "Mathias, you're just like I was three months ago. You're too naive!"

At first glance, Adeline looked both beautiful and tough, like she was hard to get along with. He thought she was just a student who hadn't graduated.

In reality, someone who could get those old leaders eager to help her couldn't rely just on medical skills; the most important thing was Adeline herself.

As Daniel was thinking, his phone rang.

It was Louis. "Daniel, why is Adeline's live stream always black? Jenna said we can send tips. How do we do that?"

Mathias was right next to him, and when he heard this, his hands shook a bit.

Just thinking about several big shots tipping in a small live stream was mind-blowing.
