Chapter 65 The Miraculous Medicine
"Gramps," Tessa stepped up.
The bodyguards, all decked out in black, lined up like soldiers on either side of Nicholas.
Nicholas, playing the sick card, had his head wrapped in bandages. But now, he ripped them off and shot Adeline a look before turning to everyone else.
Nicholas had this intense vibe, and when he looked around, it felt like a weight on everyone's chest.
"I heard all your chatter from the consultation room," Nicholas said, standing tall like a tree, eyes sharp like a hawk. "The Lumina Vitae Foundation is hands down the best."
Who'd dare argue with Nicholas?
Elijah, who was just demanding some diagnostic approach, went silent.
Sara forced a smile. "We didn't know it was..."
"Except for those three, none of you guessed it was me," Nicholas said coolly, leaning on his cane.
Sara's face turned red with embarrassment.
The others didn't look much better.
Who would've thought the third patient was Nicholas faking it? This was way beyond any medical skills!
No way!
Adeline can't be allowed to shine here!
Sara was clearly rattled.
If it weren't for Stella whispering a reminder, "Ms. Cooper, you still have the cure-all medicine," Sara would've totally forgotten her ace in the hole!
"Mr. Nicholas Livingston!" Sara shouted. "I heard Mr. Charles Livingston has been sick for ages and has been looking for a special medicine. Well, I brought it!"
The medicine the Livingston family has been hunting for? Could it be?
Everyone's eyes lit up!
Even Nicholas turned to look, signaling a bodyguard to take it.
Sara opened the wooden box she had and showed it off.
"It's Whispering Fern!" someone recognized it.
Even Peter's eyes widened.
"The Cooper family actually found Whispering Fern?"
The last time Whispering Fern showed up was a decade ago.
This stuff was rare, cultivated by the founder of the Zephyrox Alliance. It was said to cure all poisons and diseases.
Ten years ago, a big shot in Zelphoria had cancer and got cured by a Whispering Fern gifted by the Zephyrox Alliance.
Now, even the Zephyrox Alliance only had three plants left.
The Cooper family actually snagged one?
Even Nicholas was a bit impressed.

Nicholas's eyes fell on the wooden box, but his face stayed cool. "Ms. Cooper, your reputation precedes you. What's the catch?"
Everyone was green with envy!
Sara soaked up the admiring looks and acted all cool. "Mr. Nicholas Livingston, the Cooper family wants to be the primary caregivers for Mr. Charles Livingston's illness."
The Cooper family as primary caregivers? Nicholas's fingers drummed on his cane. As for the main doctor, Charles had already picked someone and wouldn't budge.
But the Cooper family had Whispering Fern.
As Nicholas mulled it over, Adeline suddenly smirked. "Sara, do I need to remind you got that Whispering Fern?"
Sara was so done with Adeline messing up her plans!
She smiled, patting Stella's hand. "Stella, see, I told you your sister would be jealous."
