Chapter 83 Alexander Spoils Adeline
"When will my grandpa treat me like this?" Oliver looked at the list, envious.
Adeline was quickly scanning the form, her voice calm. "Your quote is too high."
"Didn't you say that our custom designs should target the high-end market? If we don't quote higher for the wealthy, won't they think we're underestimating their purchasing power?" Oliver was puzzled.
Adeline tied up her long hair. "Do you think the Vanderbilt Family are just ordinary people?"
"How about an 11% discount?" Oliver asked tentatively.
Adeline casually washed her face, her features clear and elegant. "90% off, buy jewelry and get custom clothing for free."
Oliver was confused but didn't dare to ask more.
After all, even with a 90% discount, it would still amount to several hundred thousand dollars!
After quoting the price, Oliver added, "I wonder who this Ms. Vanderbilt is? I heard the trail went cold in Ravenwood County. Could it be that Ms. Vanderbilt is in the countryside? If Mr. Vanderbilt really brings her back, he'll probably have to teach her a lot. Otherwise, she'll definitely suffer."
Oliver sighed deeply as he spoke.
Adeline was brushing her teeth and didn't have time to respond.
When he was almost done talking, she wiped her mouth and asked slowly, "Why would she suffer?"
"Boss, you've never been to Zelphoria, so you don't know how hard it is to fit in here." Oliver glanced behind him and sat up straight. "Take my grandpa for example. He had some status in Zelphoria, but after moving to Eldoria, he couldn't even find a high school for me to attend when he came back. Let alone Ms. Vanderbilt, who would be coming from the countryside; she'd definitely be ridiculed."
Oliver spoke convincingly, "The Vanderbilt Family has been sponsoring underprivileged students for years. One of them is particularly outstanding and is now an adopted daughter of the Vanderbilt Family, a bona fide socialite. Do you think that naive Ms. Vanderbilt can compete with her?"
Adeline, however, smiled, her tone icy. "Who are you calling naive?"
"That Ms. Vanderbilt, she..." Oliver stopped abruptly, gauging his boss's attitude, his eyes widening in shock, stammering. "Boss, you can't possibly be..."
Adeline interrupted him calmly, "Yes, I am the naive Ms. Vanderbilt you said would be ridiculed in Zelphoria."
Oliver was genuinely floored!
He hurriedly explained, "Boss, listen to me, I was just analyzing. It's them! They exclude outsiders!"
Oliver was almost in tears. "I really didn't know you were the one the Vanderbilt Family was looking for. We hadn't taken this order before, right?"
It had only been a day.
He had just accepted that Adeline was their boss.
Now, the boss turned out to be the true heiress of the richest Vanderbilt Family!
Adeline kept it brief. "I just found out too."
Oliver said, "Then Boss, you should demand a good sum from the Vanderbilt Family. Look at what they've done. They haven't even found their real daughter yet and already have an adopted daughter competing with you. If my dad did something like this, my grandpa would disown him!"
Adeline raised an eyebrow. "Are you trying to stir up family conflict?"
