Chapter 267 Call and Inform Alexander
"Alright." Although Adeline had her doubts, saving a life was more important. "Does he have any history of allergies or contraindications? Is he allergic to penicillin or similar drugs?"
Nathan replied, "None."
Just as they were speaking, the stretcher arrived.
Adeline immediately lifted Lorenzo onto the stretcher.
The doctors and nurses followed closely behind.
Nathan was so anxious that sweat covered his forehead.
He wanted to tell Adeline that she was Savannah!
But he was afraid that if Adeline heard this news, her complex emotions towards Lorenzo might affect the surgery.
The light in the operating room turned on.
Charles also came after other matters were resolved.
Once everyone was inside, he looked at Nathan. "Did your Mr. Vanderbilt find your Ms. Vanderbilt?"
His tone was indifferent, as if he didn't care much.
After all, Charles didn't know the whole story; he was just responsible for the rescue operation.
Nathan opened his mouth but ultimately didn't reveal Adeline's true identity, only murmuring, "Yes, we found her."
"That's good."
Charles's eyes showed a hint of relief. This way, he no longer owed the Vanderbilt Family anything.
That ridiculous engagement could also come to an end.
In the operating room, Adeline, wearing a mask and medical gown, swiftly cut open Lorenzo's shirt.
Her tone was professional and calm.
"Administer anesthesia."
"Give a small dose."
"Monitor the patient's blood pressure."
"Medical clamps, scalpel."
At first, the doctors were skeptical of Adeline.
But when they saw her make the incision, their eyes widened!
That cut was incredibly precise!
And she performed the surgery so quickly.
She commanded the entire procedure, and despite the hospital's mediocre equipment, they were able to perform such a major surgery!
It seemed that a skilled surgeon didn't care which hospital they were in!
Fortunately, it was her performing the surgery. The more the doctors watched, the more they realized the complexity of the operation.
Due to the prolonged delay and Lorenzo's drug resistance, along with the infection in his shoulder wound, everything needed careful consideration on how to proceed.
They admitted they didn't have the capability.
But she, with her seasoned experience, only needed a glance through the medical scope to know where to cut.
Nathan was still waiting outside until a nurse hurriedly came out.
He quickly stepped forward to ask, "Nurse, how is the patient inside?"
"Don't worry; the surgery went very well. The young lady who came with you is amazing; she's already stitching up. The surgery should be finished in about ten minutes!"
The nurse smiled warmly. A successful surgery always made them happy for the family members.
Moreover, they were the ones who had protected them and dealt with the troublemakers earlier.
The nurse was even more attentive.
Nathan finally breathed a sigh of relief and, seeing that Charles wasn't paying attention to him, he thought for a moment and then walked to the stairwell to make a call.
The call was made to the Vanderbilt Group, not the old mansion.
He didn't want anyone other than Alexander to hear this call.
And if it was a company call, it wouldn't attract much attention.
Until Adeline was brought back, he had to be cautious!
The call was transferred from the secretary's office to the executive office.
On the top floor of the building, Alexander had refused all visitors under the pretext of being unavailable.
"I heard this Stella is quite good, Mr. Vanderbilt. Your health hasn't been improving lately. Should we..."
Before the secretary could finish, the executive office transferred Nathan's call.
"Mr. Vanderbilt, is there anyone with you?" Nathan's words made Alexander understand immediately. He signaled the secretary to lock the door before speaking into the phone, "Go ahead."
