Chapter 200 The Host is Replaced
At the Martinez Group, the receptionist seemed to act as if they didn't recognize her.
She had to get permission to enter her own company.
Overall, Angela was still happy. She was about to get a high-traffic live streaming room, and soon she could make money with her eyes closed. She wouldn't let this small matter bother her.
"You used to give Adeline so much face, even paid her to leave. Now, thinking back, you should have done it this way. Send her to prison, and she'll realize that without the Martinez Family, she's nothing."
Angela placed her coffee cup on the table, looking very pleased with herself.
Henry only cared about one thing. "Did you go see Summer? What did she say?"
"What else could she say? Of course, she wants to save her," Angela said leisurely. "This live streaming room will be ours in an hour at the latest."
Henry quickly poured her a cup of tea. "And then?"
"Whether we release her or not is up to us." Angela snorted coldly. "Whether she gets a criminal record depends on her attitude when we bail her out. Anyway, we already have the live streaming room. She got arrested for assaulting a police officer; what can Summer do without power or influence?"
Henry hesitated. "Let's not let her go to jail. After all, if Summer makes a scene at the company, it won't look good."
"We'll see then." Angela lifted her chin. "It all depends on our mood."
Henry massaged her shoulders. "Will the live streaming room really be ours?"
"Summer took the contract." Angela tapped the screen with her finger. "With all this public outrage against Adeline, Summer isn't stupid. She knows keeping the live streaming room is useless; her reputation is already ruined."
Henry frowned. "Will taking over affect us?"
"With Nine Entertainment Company helping us, don't worry. They're experts at handling public opinion," Angela said. "Look, the live streaming room is getting so much hate right now. That's natural traffic. When we start streaming tomorrow and people see the host has changed to the famous Mitchell Family, what a twist that will be."
"Netizens love this kind of thing." Angela took a sip of tea, very confident. "We just need to put all the blame on Adeline, show our professionalism and dissatisfaction with her, and everything will be fine."
Henry didn't understand the online world, but with the Mitchell Family involved, there was no problem. "You're the smart one!"
"Of course." Angela was in a good mood, her demeanor lively. "We just need to wait and celebrate."
But just as she finished speaking, the phone on the desk rang.
The sound was sudden, even startling!
"Who is calling the office at this time?" Angela was a bit annoyed by the interruption.
She was patting her chest when she saw Henry, who had answered the phone, his smiling face turning stiff. "What did you say?"
"Mr. Martinez, the police and the people from the Commerce Department are here. They're heading to your office now." The receptionist sounded urgent, clearly rushing to report. "They should already be upstairs with Dennis. You and Mrs. Martinez..."
Before the receptionist could finish speaking, the office door opened!
Two police officers and two Commerce Department officials stood there.
Dennis Turner was beside them, his face extremely pale!
