Chapter 310 Don't Cause Trouble

Jesse finally understood why those older leaders were so fond of Adeline.

At such a young age, she saw through everything without saying much, carried herself with a cool demeanor, yet had a passionate heart.

?

Jesse was looking forward to see what kind of legend would Adeline create when she went to Zelphoria.

However, some people still couldn't see the situation clearly.

In Zelphoria, Holly was once again stopped outside the Vanderbilt mansion.

She was holding a bowl of hot soup, clearly upset. "Terry, this soup is good for Grandpa's health. The doctors are all here. If it wasn't okay, would they let me make it?"

"Sorry, Ms. Vanderbilt," Terry replied like an emotionless machine. "Mr. Vanderbilt's health is changing too quickly. The experts have said to be cautious with his diet. It's best to avoid certain foods."

Holly clenched her hands, almost in tears. "What do you mean by 'certain foods'? Terry, listen to what you're saying!"

"Ms. Vanderbilt, don't cry!" Jade was spitting with anger. "There's no point in reasoning with a secretary. Why isn't she allowed to bring soup to her grandfather?"

Jade looked at Terry. "Do you know that Ms. Vanderbilt burned her hand making this soup? And you ignore her filial piety towards Mr. Vanderbilt?"

Holly's lips turned pale, as if she had suffered a great grievance.

Jade stood firm. "I've been with the Vanderbilt Family for over twenty years, and I've never heard of such absurdity. Move aside!"

Terry didn't budge an inch.

Jade's face darkened. "Are you waiting for Mr. Kai Vanderbilt to come back and demote you?"

"I am Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt's secretary, not subject to Mr. Kai Vanderbilt's orders." Terry adjusted his glasses, smiling politely.

The more he acted like this, the angrier Jade became.

Holly not being able to deliver the soup symbolized that the Vanderbilt Family had never truly acknowledged her.

Did Alexander ever consider Holly's dignity?

Jade didn't understand and wanted to force their way in with Holly.

Holly, still rational, knew that if they forced their way in, it would be said that she was thrown out by the Vanderbilt Family.

If they didn't force their way in, they could still say that Alexander was not feeling well.

She pressed down Jade's hand, biting her thin lips. "Forget it, Jade. Grandpa must be too tired today. We'll come back another day."

"Another day? Ms. Vanderbilt, how can we wait for another day? You've already come all this way..." Jade was not willing to go.

But Holly interrupted her directly, "Jade! We're leaving!"

Her eyes carried a coldness in the night.

Jade shivered, quickly supporting her, and didn't forget to warn Terry as they left, "I'm calling Mr. Kai Vanderbilt right now to tell him about this!"

"Go ahead." Terry couldn't help but smirk sarcastically.

No wonder Adeline could't stand these two people. It also affected her impression of the Vanderbilt Family.

Using someone else's power to act arrogant, it was truly outrageous.

Terry now only wished Adeline could come quickly. Even Alexander's biological granddaughter treated them with respect.

But Holly, a sponsored student, acted like she owned the place.

Who could tolerate that? Were WorkerBee's lives not lives?

The night gradually darkened.

After returning to the villa, Holly turned to Jade, her voice filled with worry. "Grandpa has been acting so strange lately. Does he not want my parents to adopt me?"

"Ms. Vanderbilt, don't worry. Mr. Kai Vanderbilt and Mrs. Vanderbilt like you. Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt has never made things difficult for you. It's all because of that Adeline!" Jade was now thoroughly disgusted with Adeline.

Holly's eyes deepened. "She is the key to this conflict. The misunderstanding between Grandpa and me must be resolved."

As soon as she finished speaking, a laugh came from outside the door.
