Robert thought,'Those fish are so delicate. What's that got to do with me?'
Summer looked just as confused. "Why is it that every time you hit the market, all the live stuff goes nuts?"
Robert, munching on a sandwich, glanced up.
Summer was changing Robert's clothes. "Forget it; it's just a few buckets of fish."
Adeline raised an eyebrow and eyed the crab foaming at the mouth next to her. "Grandma, I think it's more than just a few buckets of fish."
Summer suddenly felt a headache coming on and pinched Robert's skinny arm. "Oh well. Hide quick; don't let Katherine see you."
There was nowhere to hide. Within minutes, Katherine Coleman was at the door.
"Where's Robert?"
Katherine, hands on her hips, looked pretty intimidating.
Robert wanted to peek out but Adeline held him down casually.
Robert gestured, "What if she bullies Summer?"
Adeline glanced at him. "They're just having a spat, no bullying. It gives Grandma something to do, just to relax."
Katherine was shouting, "Listen up, Summer, I'm not being petty, but the moment he stood there, all my new stock was gone."
Summer tried to calm her down. "Sorry. This month, when you come for a massage, I'll do it for you first, free of charge."
Katherine muttered, "Actually, Adeline already compensated me."
Summer smiled. "I still need to apologize. Robert was reckless, but luckily, you all don't mind."
When Robert first arrived, he scared all the neighborhood chickens to death.
These folks didn't really give them a hard time.
Katherine glanced inside. "Really? You'll give me a massage first? I heard from Vanessa that your place is really popular now!"
"Sure, you'll be first," Summer said. "You handle seafood; you need to take care of your hands."
Katherine laughed. "Adeline just went to the market and gave us all some medicine, especially concerned about me. If only my son was more promising, Adeline could marry into our family, and we'd be even closer."
Robert suddenly looked up and gestured, "Marry you off!"
Adeline nonchalantly said, "Katherine is just talking. Why are you so excited?"
Robert's ears drooped.
At this moment, Summer said, "I'll tell you a secret. Adeline actually has a boyfriend."
"She does?" Katherine was surprised. "Who?"
Summer chuckled. "That handsome young man who came to my house a few days ago."
"Him!" Katherine pondered. "They are a good match. They are really a good match!"
Robert looked at Adeline in confusion.
Adeline patted his head. "A lie to make Grandma happy."
Robert gestured, "I disagree. He's dangerous!"
Adeline found it amusing. "Why do you always dislike him?"
Robert shook his head. "I don't know, just a feeling!"
Adeline pinched his face, deep in thought. If Robert, whose true identity was Azathoth, instinctively dislikes Charles, then he must have great fortune and wealth. She should cherish him.
Robert didn't know his resistance had the opposite effect and was still persistently gesturing.
Adeline, meanwhile, was scrolling through her phone, signing a contract with a live streaming platform online.
