"Of course." Daniel's eyes were sharp.
Ernest shuddered inside and revealed their entire plan.
He truly didn't know about the online part, but the so-called "drugged and unconscious" witness was indeed arranged by him.
The plan was made by Angela, taking advantage of the high traffic during the Lumina Vitae Foundation's live broadcast to catch her on the spot!
This way, regardless of whether Adeline was convicted in the end, her reputation would be ruined!
After all, could she even resist?
Resistance would mean non-cooperation with law enforcement.

Adeline was the calmest among them. "Mr. Sullivan, you knew how bad it would be if this was discovered, yet you didn't refuse Angela. You really are money-hungry."
"It's not just about money; it's the Jones family!" Ernest blurted out the truth in a panic.
The Jones family?
Jesse's eyes narrowed. "The Jones family, one of the four major conglomerates. Are they involved too?"
"No." Ernest fidgeted with his hands. "Angela is just a branch of the Jones family, but Mr. Hudson specifically instructed that as long as the connections from that side could be made, they should be made."
This was exactly what Adeline wanted to hear.
Thinking they could just push a director out to take the fall?
Impossible.
She wanted everyone involved to be held accountable!
"Mr. Sullivan, you should remember Nine Entertainment Company." Suddenly, Adeline brought up a point unrelated to the case.
Ernest was a bit confused, looking puzzled.
Adeline reminded him, "Earlier this year, a girl with an online account called Strawberry Blossom committed suicide due to cyberbullying, and Nine Entertainment Company was involved."
Ernest's face changed at the mention of suicide. "I really didn't handle that case; it was Victor. Victor said we should not allow the poor stress tolerance of a few people to ruin our outstanding enterprise in Eldoria."
"So that was also a wrongful case." Adeline's voice was low but piercing. "Manipulating netizens to slander others for profit is against the law, yet you shielded Nine Entertainment Company in this case!"
Ernest, greedy as he was, hadn't thought of profiting in such a way. He only found out later how Nine Entertainment Company operated.
The girl had merely posted a casual update, and seeing that she was pretty, they started fabricating rumors about her to gain traffic and attention.
They wrote blog posts analyzing the girl's psychology.
