Chapter 146 Let Them Go
Adeline's kick was full of force.
Henry lay curled up, his mouth full of blood.
Angela was so scared that she didn't dare to say a word, her face ashen!
Adeline's eyes were filled with anger. She bent halfway down and yanked Henry up, her voice low. "I never wanted to get physical in front of Grandma, but people like you really deserve a beating."
Henry's body shrank as he looked at Summer. "Mom, do something!"
"Now you remember to call her Mom?" A flash of coldcrossed Adeline's eyes as she lifted his face. "When you kicked Grandma out, did you forget she was your mom?"
Adeline kicked him again, and the floating anger made everyone around a little scared.
She had been suppressing herself for too long while staying by Summer's side, always pretending.
She was never a good person, and this sudden outburst made everyone's hearts tremble.
Meanwhile, downstairs at the Chamber of Commerce, Robert, who was following Jason, suddenly stopped in his tracks.
Before Jason could ask, Robert looked up, his eyes gradually returning to their original color.
In the deep mountains of Eldoria, no one knew what had happened. On the highway, a flock of crows suddenly flew out of the forest and headed towards the city!
The sunny day just now began to turn a bit cloudy.
Angela's hand trembled as she was about to call the police. "Are you going to be murder?"
Adeline turned her head, about to make a move.
Suddenly, a hand fell on her wrist, and a voice mixed with the scent of medicine came over, cold yet pleasant. "Did someone bully you?"
Adeline turned her head and saw Charles's flawless, handsome face.
He carried himself with noble elegance, his deep eyes looking at her.
Adeline's previously agitated heart calmed down a lot, probably because of the bracelet he was wearing, which had a calming effect.
She met his eyes, hesitated for a moment, and then nodded.
Matteo, who had flown in from Albion, was thinking, 'Who's bullying whom? Is this the friend Charles couldn't stop worrying about, the one who was supposedly weak and helpless?'
Matteo, being from Albion, wondered if he didn't learn his language well.
Adeline looked weak?
Adeline was still stepping on Henry, casually greeting, "Is this your friend?"
"Sort of." Charles's voice was low. "I brought him to see a doctor."
Adeline greeted Matteo. She was always polite to those who paid.
Matteo, however, was a bit scared of her demeanor, unsure whether to raise his hand.
"Patrick," Charles spoke again, his tone cold. "Take the troublemakers away."
Adeline loosened her foot and chuckled. "No need; it's a family matter."
Once it was labeled a family matter, outsiders couldn't intervene.
Adeline kicked the lump on the ground again. "Don't come back again."
Henry was unable to say a word.
Angela gritted her teeth and looked at Summer. "Mom, are you just going to watch your son get beaten?"
"We cut the tie already." Summer sighed deeply. "Adeline, let them go."
Adeline naturally obeyed, a smile on her lips.
Angela's face was dark, her eyes fixed on Adeline, terrifyingly deep.
But she didn't show it like before, just helped Henry up and walked away silently.
The Jones family, no matter how many problems they had recently, could still take down a little girl.
She wanted to see if their live stream could withstand an investigation.
