Chapter 110 The Special Patient

Right then, Adeline quickly blurred out the little girl’s face.

A clear voice chimed in, "Hey, let's respect everyone's privacy, especially kids'."

[No worries, streamer, we won't take screenshots.]

[Yeah, hurry up and ask what's up with that kid!]

Everyone had a bad feeling in their gut.

But Adeline didn’t push further. She just glanced at the comments and said, "I'll reach out to this patient privately; please wait."

Sticking to the rule of patient privacy, Adeline turned off the mic.

Even so, the number of viewers kept climbing!

From ten to sixty thousand, it just kept rising! The live room was silent, but everyone stayed.

Adeline switched to private messages and contacted the little girl. "When did the pain start? Do you remember what happened before it?"

The girl thought for a moment and then replied, "Last night, Luca bought me a toy and put me to bed. Then he said we’d play a game and told me not to tell my mom. I listened, but the game wasn’t fun at all. After playing, I started to hurt!"

Adeline watched her closely, her eyes growing serious. "Is your mom nearby?"

She nodded. "Yes."

Adeline smiled gently. "What's your name? Can you tell me?"

The girl giggled. "My name is Hope Ramsey. My mom says I am her hope."

Adeline moved the camera to show her face. "Hope, you have a beautiful name."

Hope Ramsey’s eyes widened. "You're so pretty!"

Adeline’s smile stayed warm. "You're very pretty too, Hope. Can you wake your mom up? She needs to know about your pain; otherwise, she’ll worry."

Hope hesitated. "But Luca said if I tell mom, they’ll argue. I don’t want them to fight, and I don’t want mom to be sad."

Some kids were born with developmental delays, but that didn’t mean they didn’t get things. In fact, they were often the most sensitive to adult emotions.

"Hope, what are you doing?"

The phone’s owner woke up, her voice sleepy but kind.

"Are you watching cartoons on my phone again?"

Panicking, Hope tried to end the call.

Adeline quickly spoke up, "Hello."

A woman in her thirties appeared on the other end of the video. "Hope, what’s this?"

Adeline introduced herself, "I’m a physician and a streamer."

Brianna Ramsey looked confused. "Sorry, my daughter might have accidentally pressed something."

Adeline kept her tone professional. "She did accidentally open my live stream, but I’m glad she did. There’s something I think you, as her mom, should know."

Brianna looked at Hope, who avoided her gaze, then at the beautiful face on the screen. "What’s going on?"

Adeline didn’t answer right away but looked at Hope. "Hope, if you don’t tell your mom now, she’ll regret not finding out sooner. She might even blame herself. Some things need to be faced together with your mom before you grow up."

Hearing this, Brianna’s face changed. She grabbed the phone. "What’s going on? Explain it clearly!"
