Chapter 55 Punishing the Wicked

Adeline wasn't about to let the bodyguard take her bag. "Nah, don't worry about it. These are my medical tools. I'll carry it myself; you guys do your thing."

She still had to meet that "old friend's grandson" Summer mentioned, so she didn't want to draw too much attention.

The bodyguards got the hint. "Please, go ahead."

Sara couldn't hold it in anymore and muttered through clenched teeth, "Are you sure that invite's legit?"

"Maybe you guys messed up?" Angela shouted louder than anyone.

She knew Adeline's situation best. No way she had a real invite.

Stella bit her lip and tugged at Angela's sleeve. "Mom, this is the Livingston family."

Angela finally calmed down and didn't argue with the bodyguards.

Stella was right; this was the Livingston family, and she couldn't act recklessly.

James didn't see it that way. He always looked down on these gatekeeping bodyguards. "You're just gonna let a fraud in like that? Who's responsible if something goes down?"

The two bodyguards ignored him and kept doing their job.

James's anger flared up. He raised his hand and pointed at one of the bodyguards' heads. "Can you hear me? That's a fraud! She's killed patients before..."

"I warn you." The bodyguard's eyes suddenly changed. "Put your hand down now."

James ignored him and kept ranting, "You're all just a bunch of lowlifes who can't even understand..."

The bodyguard glanced up, and James screamed in pain as his finger was twisted and broken.

"This is the Livingston family's place. No insolence allowed." The bodyguard's voice was so deep that even Adeline, who was walking inside, turned to look back.

The bodyguard immediately put on a smile. "Did we disturb you? We'll handle it right away."

With that, the bodyguard whistled.

Three or four men in black immediately appeared and carried the still-crying James away.

"Ms. Cooper! Ms. Cooper!" James tried to reach out to grab Sara.

But Sara waved her sleeve and immediately distanced herself from him. "How many times have I told you not to be so reckless? You never listen and even act rudely towards me. I can't teach you anymore. Whatever happens to you from now on, you'll have to bear it yourself!"

James's eyes widened in disbelief that Sara could twist the facts like this.

He had spent so much money just to become Sara's student.

And now he was being kicked aside just like that?

James tried to shout with a hoarse voice, but no one could hear him anymore.

Adeline withdrew her gaze and didn't concern herself with the situation. Her goal for today was always very clear.

Once Sara entered the inner hall, everything would begin.

The scene of James being carried away left everyone who saw it a bit shaken.

They had only heard that the Livingston family was unfathomable and not to be provoked, now seeing it with their own eyes made them even more cautious, not daring to breathe too loudly.

Only Sara's face didn't look good. If this were any other family, she wouldn't have to endure this and lost her most capable student for no reason!

But this was the Livingston family, the dominant force in Zelphoria.

Sara's eyes darkened as she was forced to adjust her emotions.

Angela was still muttering, "How can these bodyguards not tell the real from the fake?"

"Mom, I think what we should be most concerned about is where she got that invitation from." Stella was already feeling a bit impatient. 'Angela is really stupid.'

Adeline's invitation was definitely real. Otherwise, with the Livingston family bodyguards' sharp eyes, how could they have let her in?
