Chapter 63 Who is Number One
"Alright." She grabbed her bag.
The patient raised an eyebrow. "That's it? You didn't even ask if I got other symptoms or check the scans. Jumping to conclusions like this is nuts."
Adeline put the pen back, smirking. "You're fine, no need to dig deeper."
Oscar, though, grabbed her arm. "Hold up, it's only been five minutes. Let's give him another look. Other teams spent twenty minutes on the first patient!"
"So what?" Adeline shrugged and confidently hit the confirmation bell.
The folks outside the consultation room, still chatting about the "answers," burst into laughter when they saw them come out so fast!
"They're out already? Did they even diagnose the first patient?"
"You can tell from Oscar's face."
"I saw Oliver brought a medical book. What's the point? They didn't even last ten minutes!"
Seeing this, Sara and Elijah exchanged a smug look.
Sara pretended to advise Peter, "Mr. Carter, the Taylor Family is lost. Why are you also being so clueless? Don't let the young ones mix with the common folk; they won't learn anything good."
Peter didn't respond, lazily closing his eyes again.
Tessa, sitting at the head, put down her teacup and took the note from the butler.
"Everyone's done with their consultations." Tessa's voice was bright. "Now the results are in my hands. Ms. Cooper."
Sara stood up, unable to hide her grin.
As she passed Adeline, she shot her a smug glance.
Adeline sat there, indifferent, not even looking up, busy texting.
Oscar was baffled. "How can you be playing with your phone? We're toast! We're definitely at the bottom!"
Adeline quickly turned off the screen, her tone playful. "Really?"
Oscar said anxiously, "Didn't you see the Cooper family already went up?"
"And the Mitchell Family too," Oliver pointed to another person who had been called up.
On either side of Tessa stood Sara and Elijah.
Everyone seemed unsurprised by the result and was about to applaud.
Tessa spoke, "Your medical skills are comparable, especially in inquiring about the patient's condition. For the first and second patients, both of you prescribed the correct medication. However, for the third patient, your prescription was inaccurate, so you are tied for second place."
Second place?
Sara's smile froze.
Elijah's face also turned sour.
Everyone was stunned.
They were second?
Then who was first?
"It must be the Carter Family, David!" someone said.
Tessa, however, wasn't in a rush to announce the rankings. Instead, she walked over to Adeline and smiled. "Ms. Vanderbilt, can you explain this prescription you wrote?"
The note unfolded: [Drink more water.]
"What kind of prescription is this?"
"This is hilarious."
"What kind of stuff does Summer teach? It's a disgrace to us medical practitioners!"
Angry voices erupted instantly!
Adeline almost became the target of everyone's scorn.
However, she stayed calm, seemingly indifferent, casually biting into a fruit candy.
Tessa was speechless to these renowned doctors from Eldoria and simply turned around. "Alright, let me announce the results first. The first place in the consultation is..."
