Chapter 139 Following All the Way

Henry had his own bag of tricks. With Jason making such a grand entrance, it was sure to grab some eyeballs.

He could get Leon and Vanessa to figure out where Jason went.

If that didn't pan out, he would go find Summer!

But before he could step inside, he spotted Mark hanging out in front of a barbecue joint.

And there, at the window table, was Jason!

Henry was floored. He had been eating at this rundown barbecue spot since he was a kid.

What was someone like Jason doing here?

Turned out, Adeline picked the place.

Adeline was all about convenience. "Order more meat; Robert loves it."

Jason's grin was almost too eager. "I'll take twenty plates of lamb!"

Robert held up five fingers.

Adeline's voice was steady. "Fifty plates."

Jason quickly corrected himself, "Fifty plates!"

After that, he glanced at Robert and couldn't help but sigh. "Only around you does Lynx act so chill. I can't believe Lynx found you first, boss."

Adeline just nodded, not going into details.

Jason rolled up his sleeves. "Lynx seems kinda distant with me."

Lynx didn't even mess with his hair when they met, which was odd.

And Lynx's eyes, they weren't this color before.

Adeline patted Robert's head. "He grew too fast, didn't get enough nutrition, messed with his brain."

Jason was taken aback. "What do you mean, messed with his brain?"

"Amnesia." Adeline casually tied up her long hair, then grabbed a plate of lamb. As she glanced out the window, she frowned slightly and said nonchalantly, "Jason, you brought trouble."

Hearing this, Robert stopped eating and was about to bolt out!

Adeline raised her hand to stop him. "Not your problem. Finish eating and then make some pasta for Grandma. Don't forget to add an egg, and make it soft."

From their spot, Adeline and Robert were just hidden by a wall.

Standing outside, Henry couldn't see them; he could only see Jason being super attentive to the person across from him.

He had no clue who could make Jason act like this!

Henry's eyes lit up, and he wanted to burst in.

Mark never expected Henry to be so shameless, tailing them all the way here!

Adeline definitely wouldn't want to see him. Mark didn't hesitate and blocked him. "Henry, what do you want?"

"Mark, we're old pals. I just want to go in and grab a bite. I won't bother Jason." Henry smiled, trying to butter him up. "At most, I'll just toast him."

Mark's tone was icy. "Mr. Bailey doesn't know you, so no need for a drink."

"I see Jason's in a good mood." Henry didn't give up on going in; instead, he looked around. "Who are these folks eating with him? Why meet here?"

Mark blocked him. "If you keep this up, I'll call security."

"Don't." Henry tried to appease him. "I'm just curious; I just want a peek."

Mark wasn't having it and turned his head. "Move him away."

And in that split second, Henry stood on tiptoe and peeked inside.

Just one look, and he was stunned!
