Chapter 340 Adeline Was Truly Remarkable
Robert gestured: "He's not bad!"
"Being praised by you is not necessarily a good thing," Adeline said nonchalantly.
Adeline didn't stay any longer. She glanced at Lyle. "Lyle, shall we go for a walk outside?"
"Sure, let's go." As Lyle was leaving, he didn't forget to warn Lowell, "Antique Alley can make money in any way, but if you dare to harm people, be prepared to go to jail."
Lowell smiled faintly. "I only read fortunes for those destined. It seems that you and I are not destined to meet in the future."
"Lowell," Adeline toyed with a purple gemstone pendant and suddenly looked up, "Are you talking about destiny with Lyle? I want to ask you, what kind of fortune-telling did you learn?"
Adeline turned to Ronan. "Since Mr. March paid, I'll give Mr. March an extra tip. If Lowell is so great, he should have a certification from the Tarot Association, right?"
Ronan was quick to catch on and immediately asked, "Lowell, you must have a certificate, right?"
Lowell's hand, hidden under his sleeve, clenched tighter and tighter, but he smiled and said, "I follow my heart."
Ronan responded, "So, no certificate."
Lowell took a deep breath. "Mr. Tobias March, Mr. Ronan March..."
"Ronan, are you trying to make me tell Grandpa about today's events?" Tobias thought Ronan was hopelessly stupid. "Lowell is a distinguished guest of the March Family. In front of outsiders, you better behave yourself!"
Ronan's back stiffened, and he mumbled, "I understand."
"Apologize to Lowell," Tobias ordered.
Ronan had no choice but to comply.
Lowell magnanimously said, "It's alright. Mr. Ronan March was misled."
Adeline didn't look back and strolled out of the courtyard, too lazy to watch this drama any longer.
The March Family believing in such a fraud had nothing to do with her.
But Robert raised his hand and gestured to her a couple of times.
Adeline pinched his face, looking at his teeth. "Alright, you've had enough. Let's go. If I leave you here, it'll be others who suffer."
Robert nodded.
Adeline's words had to be obeyed.
Lyle, watching from the side, was a bit puzzled, but he had to ask one thing. "Ms. Vanderbilt, how did you divine that Mr. Tobias March has someone in his heart?"
"Divine?" Adeline smiled. "It wasn't divination. My fiancé told me."
Lyle thought, 'You and Charles talk about this kind of stuff?'
Adeline continued, "Didn't he say he was going to give Holly a gift? Even a fool could guess what he wanted to divine."
That made sense. Lyle nodded but still felt something was off. "Then is it true that Mr. Ronan March has insomnia?"
"If you believe it, it's true." Adeline looked at Lyle, her eyes deep and unreadable. "Lyle, do you trust me?"
Lyle couldn't quite figure out this newly arrived Adeline, but she was too smart just now, especially since she could even expose Lowell.
Lyle took a gamble. "I trust you!"
"I studied medicine," Adeline didn't reveal much. "The pendant Ronan wears has a problematic scent. Wearing it long-term would cause mental unrest."
Lyle had an epiphany. "So, about his reckless driving, you..."
"I guessed, just like Lowell guessed about you," Adeline laughed. "Most fortune-telling on the market is just combining the information you reveal and saying ambiguous things. People will imagine the rest. It's psychology."
It was the first time Lyle had heard such an explanation!
Looking at Adeline, his eyes were filled with admiration!
The socialites in the upper circles who were waiting to see a good show would probably be disappointed this time.
Adeline was truly remarkable!
