Chapter 268 Alexander Goes to Reunite with Family
"Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt, Ms. Vanderbilt has been found!" Nathan's hands were trembling with excitement. "This time it's real! She's right in front of me!"
Alexander shot up from his chair, his eyes wide with shock. "Where are you?"
"We're all at Ravenwood County Hospital." Nathan tried to control his volume. "Mr. Lorenzo Vanderbilt is here too. He's already met Ms. Vanderbilt. The situation is complicated; I'll explain everything when you get here."
Leaning on his cane, Alexander's excitement was unmistakable. "Lorenzo has already seen Savannah! How did he end up in the Ravenwood County and run into Savannah?"
"Technically, Ms. Vanderbilt saved Mr. Lorenzo Vanderbilt. The moment he saw her, he felt a connection," Nathan summarized. "Mr. Alexander Vanderbilt, what I'm about to say next might be a shock. Do you want to prepare yourself first?"
Alexander was so overjoyed he couldn't contain himself, laughing loudly. "Now that Savannah has been found, nothing can shock me. I'm just envious of Lorenzo for seeing her before I did!"
"Ms. Vanderbilt is currently performing surgery on Mr. Lorenzo Vanderbilt," Nathan said. "Ms. Vanderbilt is the doctor who treated you in Eldoria!"
Alexander's cane fell from his hand.
His eyes widened.
For the first time, a look of utter bewilderment crossed his face.
Alexander had been a titan in the business world for years.
His secretary, who had been with him for a long time, had never seen him like this.
Even his movements were slow as he bent down to pick up the cane, his expression still dazed.
Secretary Terry was just as stunned.
What did Nathan just say?
The doctor who treated Alexander was Savannah!
This was explosive news!
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Mr. Vanderbilt, are you there? Ms. Holly Vanderbilt is worried about your health and brought you some nutritious food."
It was someone from the executive office.
Alexander steadied himself and looked to his side. "Terry, arrange a car. If anyone asks, tell them I'm on a business trip."
"Yes, sir." Terry was the most trusted person to Alexander, aside from Nathan.
This time was different from the last.
With the previous information, Alexander had already sensed issues within the company.
He just hadn't pinpointed who was responsible.
In this environment, safely bringing Savannah back was the top priority!
Terry unlocked the door, and Alexander hung up the phone, walking out with his cane.
Outside, Holly was already waiting with Jade.
Two people who shouldn't be there, always bringing nutritious food.
"Grandpa!" Holly's eyes were red as she walked over to Alexander. "I've been here for days, and you finally stopped being mad at me because of an outsider."
Terry, who had heard everything, couldn't help but think, 'You're the outsider here.'
Nathan had told him about Holly and Jade's actions, how they had made things difficult for the doctor treating Alexander in Eldoria.
Holly wiped her eyes and held up a lunchbox. "I spent three hours making this with the best nutritious ingredients. Grandpa, you were right to scold me last time. I shouldn't have treated others that way."
It was clear Holly had dressed up for the occasion.
She even wore a tiger hairpin.
That was Savannah's favorite accessory as a child.
Terry was immune to her constant imitation of Savannah.
Unfortunately, Mia was easily swayed, softening at the sight of the tiger hairpin.
Thankfully, Alexander was rational. He accepted the food but didn't say much to Holly, only instructing to prepare the car.
Holly watched the two figures walk away.
Alexander was incredibly hard to please.
Though he doted on her, when she made a mistake, he wouldn't even give her a chance to explain.
It had always been this way, ever since she was a child!
