Chapter 294 Going to Zelphoria to Stir Up Trouble
Earlier, Summer was still hesitating about whether she should go, but now it seemed she had to.
Even if she couldn't help with anything, just being there for Adeline was good enough.
The two elders talked a lot.
Summer held a photo of Adeline as a child. "Look at her, she looks so dazed, her eyes just staring blankly. I used to worry about her grades, but now, she suddenly got first place."
Alexander's eyes lit up. "First place?" He always knew their Adeline took after him, unlike Bodhi and Pentti, who were only interested in acting and singing!
"Exactly, in the end, it's our Martinez Family that owes her," Summer said with guilt. "My useless son and daughter-in-law bullied Adeline too much before."
Summer explained everything.
Alexander, understanding the situation, said, "That has nothing to do with you. You raised Adeline, and that's a fact. Adeline is now thinking about how to be filial to you."
"Adeline keeps everything to herself." Summer handed the photo to Alexander. "She has a stubborn temper and can't stand injustice. I know it's not my place to say this, but if she returns to the Vanderbilt Family and offends someone, please protect her."
The more Summer spoke, the more Alexander felt a tightness in his chest.
He understood why Summer was worried.
Everyone knew that among the students sponsored by the Vanderbilt Family, there was an adopted daughter. Now, she had become an obstacle for his biological granddaughter to return.
Alexander gripped his cane tightly and said firmly, "Summer, I promise, as long as I'm around, no one will bully Adeline. She's the youngest in the family, and even if she does something wrong, the family will indulge her. This is what the Vanderbilt Family owes her all these years."
Summer understood the meaning, her voice hoarse. "With your's words, I can rest easy."
As elders, they couldn't bear to see Adeline suffer.
Alexander smiled. "Tell me more about Adeline."
"Sure, she has a good rapport with people in this alley..."
The two made a pot of tea and talked all afternoon.
Nathan cheerfully refilled their hot water.
The bodyguards were taken by Robert to practice boxing.
At first, Robert couldn't accept so many people in the yard, taking up space without paying, until Adeline whispered something in his ear.
He then became happy, gesturing, "Can we really go to Zelphoria to cause trouble?"
"It's to make money, not cause trouble. Don't say it like that," Adeline said lazily。 "Go play, you can spar, but don't hurt anyone."
Robert's eyes lit up, but the bodyguards were very frustrated as they were tossed around.
Was Robert's strength normal?
Robert was having a great time.
Charles entered the alley with his men.
Robert stopped, looked up at him, and his hostility was obvious.
The bodyguards were puzzled. 'Robert seems doesn't like Mr. Livingston?'
Charles was also looking at him.
Robert squinted his eyes, showing his teeth, ready to get violent.
Charles took out a bank card and pressed it against Robert's forehead, his voice calm. "Where is she?"
Robert knew who he was asking about. He smiled and took the bank card, pointing in the direction of the supermarket.
The bodyguards were shocked. 'What? Why does a kid need a bank card?'
"Take me there." Charles, in his sharp suit, looked cold and noble. He even extended his hand.
The implication was that he wanted to hold Robert's hand.
Robert held back and gestured, "That's a different price!"
