Chapter 116 Coming to Apologize

"Chrysanthemum Alley is such a dump. Everyone here is dirt poor!" Jade said.

She was holding Holly up with one hand, her lips twisted in a sneer. "Ms. Vanderbilt, why'd you come here yourself? What kind of top-notch doctor could come from a place like this?"

"Jade, stop." Holly, in her mermaid gown and high heels, was struggling on the cobblestone road. "Just think of it as doing Nathan a favor."

Jade sighed. "You're the daughter of the Vanderbilt Family. You'll get the Vanderbilt Group shares in the future. Do you really need to do him a favor?"

"Jade." Holly frowned, cutting her off. "We have brothers at home; the company should be theirs."

Realizing she had overstepped, Jade glanced at the bodyguards nearby. "Yeah, I should keep my mouth shut!"

She gave herself a light slap.

Holly, holding up her dress with one hand and wiping sweat with a wet wipe in the other, said, "To ask where the doctor lives."

"Okay." Jade turned the corner and was about to knock on the next door when she saw Adeline standing there. Adeline's face was stunning, and she held a tripod, looking at Jade with a casual gaze.

No matter how many times she saw her, Jade could never bring herself to like Adeline.

It was like anyone standing in front of her could be seen through!

Holly also saw Adeline, paused for a moment, and then walked over.

"Adeline, is she looking for you?" Vanessa, carrying a basket of groceries, was stunned. "How much do you think her clothes cost? She's sparkling all over."

Adeline smiled faintly and just continued to pack up her equipment.

Holly approached, a subtle fragrance wafting around her. "You remember me, right?"

The scent made Adeline's fingers pause, and her eyes lifted slightly.

Looking at Vanessa standing next to her, who seemed completely unaware of the fragrance and was staring enviously at Holly, Adeline's brows furrowed slightly.

Holly, with a distant tone, continued, "Jade offended you at the hotel. I'm here to ask you to continue treating the Vanderbilt Family as usual and not delay my grandfather's illness."

With that, she turned her head.

Then the bodyguards brought over numerous gift boxes.

Holly glanced at the sign of the clinic. "It looks like your family isn't well-off. You probably need these stuff. There are medicines, jewelry, and cash in the boxes. Jade, take the things inside."

She was certain Adeline wouldn't refuse.

Jade snorted coldly and was about to move.

Adeline, holding the tripod, was unable to stop her physically, so she called out calmly, "Robert."

The bodyguards didn't even see clearly.

Suddenly, a figure appeared in front of them. He was small, not fully grown, with a sandwich in his mouth, staring at them intently.

Despite his lack of expression and his youthful appearance, his eyes were fierce, reminding them of a wild beast they had once encountered in the forest.

The bodyguards instinctively halted their steps.

Only Jade continued to move forward. "What do you mean? We've come all the way to bring you gifts, and you're still playing hard to get."

Her face was full of disdain, clearly not here to apologize.

Robert squinted, clenched his fist and glanced at Adeline. Seeing she didn't stop him, he grabbed Jade by the collar with one hand and lifted her off the ground!
