Chapter 309 Everything is for What the Heart Desires

Louis's tone rarely showed joy. "Are you also going to Zelphoria?"

"Yes, I haven't had the chance to tell you yet. My biological parents have been found, and they are from Zelphoria." Adeline poured Louis another cup of tea. "I wanted to wait until we got to Zelphoria to introduce them to you. And I plan to open a chain of the Lumina Vitae Foundation in Zelphoria."

Hearing this, Louis's smile grew even wider. "Great, that's a good idea. Your model can truly help those patients who have difficulty accessing medical care."

"It's mainly my grandmother's wish," Adeline said modestly.

Jesse was increasingly impressed with Adeline. "Then we'll meet up in Zelphoria in the future!"

Adeline caught the implication. "Mr. Miller, are you also going back to Zelphoria?"

"Not immediately, but soon." Jesse chuckled, not hiding anything from Adeline. "Originally, the Miller Family and Mr. Anderson planned for me to leave Eldoria within three years and move further south, preferably to Emerald City to observe the economy. Now, with your help, I can return to Zelphoria in six months."

It was evident how much Adeline's presence had aided Jesse in his career.

The case involved a complex web of relationships.

Jesse had accomplished three major tasks upon his arrival, focusing on both public welfare and the economy.

Those who tried to create trouble and refused to cooperate, hoping to use local influence and connections to stall Jesse, did not succeed.

This was what pleased Louis the most. After all, Jesse returning to Zelphoria was the best reward for him.

"When we get to Zelphoria, the Miller Family will also have to thank you," Louis said.

Adeline, eating her food, didn't mind much. "I'm your student, and Jesse and I share the same professor. The better Jesse does, the more I benefit."

Louis laughed. "Look at you, always knowing the right thing to say."

Jesse also admired her. "Adeline, let me toast to you again."

The meal left all three of them in high spirits.

Jesse also understood more deeply why Louis valued a younger person so much.

Adeline might look young, but she was actually smart and had a broad perspective.

This made Jesse reevaluate himself. He didn't ignore the messages from the Jones family as he used to.

Instead, he learned to maneuver with them, without showing any intention of investigating the Jones family.

Louis left quietly, getting into a sedan after the meal.

He was accompanied only by a bodyguard and a driver.

He took one last look at the place where he had spent two years. When he arrived, it was in complete disarray.

This was why he had Jesse transferred here.

Although it wasn't entirely clear when he left, at least the people no longer had to worry about spending tens of thousands of dollars for a simple medical visit.

Moreover, they had resolved the issue of Eastgate Towns.

Charles had mentioned that report before.

Louis had seen it too. How tragic that the most dedicated village teacher turned out to be a college student who had been trafficked into the village.

He believed that the public's awareness was awakening.

Through this dissemination, some outdated thoughts could finally be eradicated.

"Mr. Anderson is the true master of strategy," Adeline said, watching the car drive away, her eyes brightening. "He had Daniel bring you to the Lumina Vitae Foundation, waiting for this day."

Jesse paused, suddenly looking at Adeline with a flash of surprise in his eyes, then he smiled. "You're not angry about being used by Mr. Anderson?"

"I went to Eastgate Towns willingly." Adeline's lips curved slightly. "Mr. Anderson's plan is grand, in the name of patriotism. I'm willing to be used by him."
