Angela quickly invited everyone to dig into the dessert, but she couldn't stop glancing at Holly.
How wealthy was the Vanderbilt family to afford such luxury?
Their group was rich too. But even among the wealthy, there were levels.
Holly had already taken her seat. The person who opened the door first was just her butler.
"Ms. Vanderbilt, what would you like to eat? I'll have them whip it up."
Holly's voice was soft. "Jade, you should sit too. You don't always have to take care of me."
"How could I not? It's my job to look after you," Jade Scott replied.
Holly had no choice but to smile lightly as she was about to order.
Just then, a bodyguard showed up, looking a bit worried. "Ms. Vanderbilt, why are you here? Didn't you ask Nathan to call a doctor for you?"
"Call a doctor?" Holly looked a bit puzzled, then seemed to remember something and glanced at Jade.
Jade smiled casually. "It's nothing major. You've had a poor appetite lately, and I heard Eldoria has some top-notch doctors, so I called one to check you out."
Holly sighed. "Alright then."
She knew Jade had her own plans and had called someone without asking, but Jade was family and had raised her since she was little. Even if she overstepped, it was understandable.
The bodyguard said, "Ms. Vanderbilt, Nathan and the doctor are already here."
Jade set the table for Holly. "Got it; let them wait in the lounge. Ms. Vanderbilt will go over after she eats."
The bodyguard hesitated. "But..."
Holly smiled softly, her cheeks a bit pink. "Please, just have them wait a bit. I'm really hungry."
Hearing this, everyone couldn't help but admire her.
"She's so beautiful and kind-hearted!"
"She's so rich and yet so polite!"
"I wonder which doctor is lucky enough to treat her."
Angela, sitting at the next table, was super envious.
The bodyguard, however, was reluctant. "They seem really anxious. Maybe Jade should come with me to explain."
Jade's smile faded. "Do I really need to personally go for a small-town doctor? It's not like we're refusing to see her. What's the harm in waiting a bit?"
The bodyguard thought, 'That doctor is someone even Alexander respects. What do you mean?'
"Ms. Vanderbilt."
Holly seemed to have no other choice and looked at Jade. "You should go and explain."
Jade outwardly said, "Yes," but inside she was fuming.
In the hotel lobby, Adeline and Nathan had already been waiting for twenty minutes.
Nathan was pacing back and forth, looking stressed.
Even though the weather wasn't that hot anymore, he had been running around since earlier. Being short and chubby, he was sweating profusely.
Adeline glanced at him, her voice calm and clear like a bell. "Have you been like this lately?"
"What?" Nathan wiped his sweat.
"Excessive sweating, overeating, palpitations. It's symptoms of hyperthyroidism," Adeline said.
