Chapter 333 Adeline Knows Everything

"Ms. Vanderbilt, is this your first time here?" The visitor was quite talkative. "I'm Lyle Warner."

As soon as Lyle finished speaking, someone from the other side shouted, "Mr. Warner, you're here! I have some good stuff today!"

"I'll check it out later," Lyle nodded in greeting, exuding a boss-like demeanor.

"Alright! I'll save it for you!"

Lyle said to Adeline, "Mr. Vanderbilt mentioned that you are looking for some special stones, to buy some unique items. Any specific requirements for their appearance?"

"No," Adeline said, her gaze shifting to Robert.

Robert seemed quite accustomed to Antique Alley, his eyes scanning the area, lips slightly pursed.

Adeline brought him along to act as a scanner.

Robert's keen eyes could help her find things more efficiently.

"To be honest, Ms. Vanderbilt, you came a bit early," Lyle said as they walked, "It's not your fault; you probably don't know the history of Antique Alley."

Adeline chuckled lightly, her attitude playful, "Indeed, I'm not very familiar."

Lyle lowered his voice, "Do you know the origin of the Phantom Bazaar?"

Adeline shook her head nonchalantly, her eyes still observing the street ahead.

Adeline walked up to a stall; it was all wholesale market now.

Lyle spoke mysteriously, "It's normal for someone your age not to know; many locals don't either. Antique Alley has many taboos. Some things that come from underground, you must never touch."

Lyle advised, "You're from The Vanderbilt Family, so I won't lie to you. According to tradition, the real good stuff appears when the market opens at midnight."

"So, it's best if we come back around eleven at night," Lyle said.

Robert had already started gesturing: all recently made, nothing old.

Adeline strolled lazily, not interrupting Lyle's explanation, only asking softly, "Are there still things coming from underground? That shouldn't be the case."

"Indeed, it's very rare," Lyle said, touching his bracelet, "Don't worry, I'll take you to see a Master now, let him take a look for you."

Robert clearly didn't want to go; he was more interested in snacks than the Master.

Adeline gave him a glance.

Robert immediately behaved, walking over and letting Adeline hold his hand obediently.

Lyle also found it strange; why did Adeline, who had just been brought back from the countryside, have a mute child with her?

"It is Lowell Warren, your father often visits him; we might even run into him," Lyle tried to build a connection.

Adeline smirked, "I'm not very familiar with him."

Lyle hesitated, still looking for an excuse, "Well, you just came back, not very familiar indeed."

His mind started to wander.

Was Adeline's father not planning to acknowledge her?

It made sense, after all, the "adopted daughter" of The Vanderbilt Family was indeed outstanding.

She understood calligraphy and painting, knew jewelry, and had quite a bit of knowledge about antiques.
