Chapter 19 Caught the Wrong Person

"No matter who he is, you can't arrest people without following the rules!"

Ernest looked at Victor. "Mr. Hudson, you know how diligent I usually am."

Victor didn't want to be mentioned at all right now. "Enough, Ernest! Take him away!"

He had originally planned to keep things calm before Jesse arrived and had given instructions everywhere.

If Jesse couldn't find anything, there wouldn't be much he could do.

But now, this was practically giving Jesse a reason to conduct a thorough investigation!

He couldn't let Ernest speak any further!

The interrogators had already started moving.

But at that moment, Adeline, standing in the center, spoke up. Her tone was calm, not at all like an ordinary citizen who had been arrested.

Instead, she even had a smile on her face. "Don't rush. I'm the suspect. Whether this case ends or not, and how it ends, I should have a say in it."

They arrested her and then wanted to release her as if nothing had happened.

How could there be such a good deal in the world?

Adeline believed in clear distinctions between gratitude and grudges.

She had no intention of letting it go after being framed.

The only surprise was that Adeline hadn't expected Daniel to bring friends.

Now that it had come to this, did they think they could just end it?

Wouldn't that waste all the effort she had put into this setup?

Adeline looked at Victor, her voice unhurried. "I would very much like to hear what Mr. Sullivan has to say."

Victor's heart skipped a beat at her words.

It was only then that he took a closer look at Adeline. She was so striking that people often noticed her appearance first, rather than her eyes.

Now, looking at her up close, Victor could clearly feel that despite her young age, her eyes held no trace of innocence. Instead, they were deep and unfathomable when she looked at people.

Victor had handled many cases but had never seen someone her age with such a clear and commanding presence and gaze.

His initial thought of quickly closing the case instantly cooled down by more than half!

Ernest, being the fool he was, looked delighted. "Mr. Hudson, the suspect is willing to listen to me!"

Victor was so frustrated with his stupidity that his teeth itched, but Jesse and Jack were both watching him.

He didn't dare give any hints and just clenched his fists.

Daniel was also a smart person. Seeing the situation, he immediately understood. "Yes, we need an explaination. Why you arrested a good student who often provides free medical consultations at Sunnybrook Apartments."

Hearing Sunnybrook Apartments, Jack's head spun even more.

He had heard before that the former leaders particularly liked a new girl in the community.

She was skilled in medicine and meticulous in her work.

The leaders didn't listen to anyone else, but when it came to her, they couldn't stop praising her.

Jack was already furious, pointing at Ernest. "You!"

Ernest was still confused, but Victor had already thought of a solution. "Explain properly what kind of misunderstanding led you to arrest the wrong person!"

Yes, as long as they said it was a mistake, there would be room to maneuver!

Unexpectedly, Adeline laughed again, her eyes pitch black. "Mr. Hudson, it's impossible to arrest the wrong person. I'm a well-known streamer, very recognizable. Moreover..."

As she spoke, Adeline reached out and grabbed the middle-aged woman who was trying to slip away in the chaos. "Here's the witness who reported me."
