Chapter 83 Insufficient Blood Supply

Kristoffer hesitated. "An electrocardiogram? Is it really that serious? I only occasionally..."

"You have to go," Adeline insisted, handing him a business card. "Or you can come to Chrysanthemum Alley in the city and find the Lumina Vitae Foundation."

Kristoffer took the card, still muttering to himself.

Adeline and Robert were already heading down the mountain, moving quickly, like they knew the paths better than he did, even though he often stayed here.

Robert didn't want to go home, especially after hearing there were wolves on the mountain. He looked eager to explore.

Adeline grabbed him and tossed him onto the back seat of the motorcycle, then fastened a black and red helmet on him. "Hold onto the bag."

Robert sat upright.

"Come back and play another day," Adeline said, kicking up the motorcycle stand, swinging her leg over, her long hair flying. Her stunningly beautiful face showed a hint of tiredness. "It's already 4:30, and Grandma will wake up at 6 to call us for breakfast."

Robert grinned. "Are you sleeping at the clinic tonight too?"

Adeline leaned forward, gripping the handlebars, her voice scattering with the night wind. "I'll be there for a while."

The Dodge Tomahawk roared impressively as they rode off, with Robert holding a large black bag that seemed to be made of some special, indestructible material.

In the swanky Caesar Hotel in downtown Eldoria, the Special Operation Unit was still investigating. Finally, they locked onto a location!

Patrick was among them. "Got it!"

Charles looked over with tired eyes, his voice low. "Speak."

"It's about 20 kilometers from the city center, head north on the highway." Patrick's voice trailed off. "It's in a wild mountain?"

Hearing this, Charles stood up from the sofa.

"Mr. Livingston?" Brandon was still hoping for some clues from him, though he felt it was a long shot.

Charles rotated his bracelet, his eyes indifferent. "Pack it up."

Brandon was reluctant, thinking of checking the surveillance over there.

Charles said coldly, "Don't waste your time."

Brandon finally gave up.

Luckily, the evidence against the Cooper family was solid, and their main task this time wasn't to find the snitch.

Kristoffer, who stayed on the mountain, was collecting fungi with a flashlight as usual when he suddenly felt dizzy, like he couldn't catch his breath.

He patted his chest and sat down, recalling Adeline's words. "If you insist on picking mushrooms and feel unwell again, stop immediately."

Normally, Kristoffer wouldn't care about feeling dizzy.

Today, he didn't continue. After drinking some water and waiting for his breathing to stabilize, he carefully descended the mountain.

When his phone got a signal, he searched online and found out that in his condition, if he kept collecting mushrooms, he might suffer from insufficient blood supply to the heart, faint on the mountain, and never wake up again!

Kristoffer broke out in a cold sweat, feeling a growing sense of fear.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the business card.

He thought, 'What did Adeline say? Oh right, go to Chrysanthemum Alley and find the Lumina Vitae Foundation!'
