Chapter 1003

"What are you thinking about? You're about to walk into the wall," Alexander's words interrupted Elizabeth's thoughts.

Alexander pulled Elizabeth closer to him.

Elizabeth felt embarrassed; she had indeed almost walked into the wall.

"Nothing," she smiled at Alexander.

Alexander raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

The light from the food truck fell on him, giving him an indescribable aura.

He didn't belong here.

Her urge to take him away grew stronger.

Elizabeth thought, if she went back to high school, she might still fall in love with him.

The night was quiet.

Elizabeth sat in the car, eating her spoils, while Alexander drove at a leisurely pace.

Elizabeth remembered that he used to hate people eating in his car. To be precise, not many people had ever sat in his car.

Indeed, once someone had a person they liked, it was like having a weakness. All your boundaries crumbled in front of them.

"So, are you coming back during the holidays?" Elizabeth broke the silence.

Alexander nodded, "Yes."

"My grandparents are really resistant. Maybe you should just forget about it?" Elizabeth said to Alexander.

"Elizabeth, I won't back down just because they resist. I've told you before. Don't worry, I'll be respectful," Alexander reassured Elizabeth.

Elizabeth frowned, feeling inexplicably annoyed.

She looked out the window and said, "I'm not worried about you; I'm worried about my grandparents' health. You might upset them."

Alexander laughed. He knew Elizabeth was concerned about her grandparents.

At the red light, Alexander stopped the car and asked, "My grandmother misses you. If you have time, could you come over for a meal?"

Elizabeth turned her head to look at Alexander.

She had been too busy these past few days and hadn't had time to visit Lily.

"How is your grandmother?"

Alexander replied, "I think she's doing fine."

"Alright, we'll talk about it later," Elizabeth said.

Alexander nodded.

He drove slowly, and Elizabeth could feel that he wanted to spend more time with her.

But when they were together, it always felt like there was a barrier, making conversations awkward.

At the entrance of the Percy Mansion, Elizabeth got out of the car.

Alexander followed and said, "Tomorrow..."

"I don't have time tomorrow," she said. The lab might keep her busy until late.

Alexander nodded, "Then we won't have dinner together. I'll pick you up in the evening and take you home."

"Okay," Elizabeth agreed.

Alexander smiled and gestured for her to go inside quickly as it was cold.

Elizabeth quickly went inside, while Alexander leaned against the car, feeling an indescribable peace.

His destiny was bound to Elizabeth.

As long as Elizabeth was by his side, he felt at ease.

Just as Alexander got into the car, his phone rang.

Nolan said, "Mr. Tudor, for the next couple of days, Ms. Percy's grandparents will be going to the mall or grocery shopping in the morning. If nothing changes, they'll go out together tomorrow as well."

Alexander said, "Got it. Let me know when they leave tomorrow."

Nolan replied, "Understood, Mr. Tudor."

Alexander gripped his phone tightly, a determined look flashing in his eyes.

He would do his best to win the Percy family's forgiveness as soon as possible!
