Chapter 1079

Kieran gave a polite smile, "No offense intended. The social circuit gets to be a blur sometimes. My apologies."

Cecilia furrowed her brows and looked at her agent again.

The agent just smiled.

Kieran asked, "Anything else?"

Cecilia gripped her phone, looked at Kieran for a while, and mustered up the courage to ask, "Mr. Getty, would it be okay if I added you on Facebook?"

The producer and Elisha exchanged knowing glances, both suddenly realizing what was happening.

Cecilia wasn't here to review the scene they just shot.

She was clearly here for Kieran.

A wealthy and handsome man like him naturally attracted attention wherever he went.

Elisha and the producer didn't bother to intervene. After all, everyone tries to network up. If she managed to get Kieran's social media, good for her!

But Kieran was here with Lila.

Someone in Kieran's position, with someone like Lila by his side, wouldn't likely be interested in someone like Cecilia.

Kieran smiled politely, giving her a graceful out. "I keep my social media private, but here's my business card."

When he handed over his embossed card with its subtle gold lettering, Cecilia's disappointment was palpable.

She forced a smile and said nothing.

Well, that was awkward.

She'd asked for his Facebook, and he'd formally handed her a business card instead.

She didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

She reached out, stared at the card for a moment, her hand slightly trembling as she took it. "Thank you, Mr. Getty."

Without another word, she turned to leave.

Her agent, watching from nearby, knew Cecilia felt humiliated, especially with the director and the producer witnessing the exchange.

Elisha felt a pang of secondhand embarrassment for Cecilia.

Asking someone of Kieran's status for social media was bold—she should have anticipated rejection. But none of them would mock her for trying.

After all, they were merely acquaintances of Kieran's, and none of them had his personal social media either.

Kieran was about to sit down when he saw Lila standing nearby.

Lila had already changed into the red dress prepared by the crew. It was form-fitting and eye-catching. Her figure was always perfect, and the red dress made her even more striking.

Kieran's gaze traveled up her legs and landed on Lila's face.

Lila raised an eyebrow, having just witnessed him brush off Cecilia with a lie. The same Kieran who practically lived on Facebook and messaged her all day long was now claiming he kept his social media "private."

She watched as he smoothly handed Cecilia his business card instead.

Cold-blooded, she thought.

"Kieran," Lila called him.

Kieran stood up, "What's up, superstar?"

This made Cecilia, who hadn't walked far, turn her head to look back.

Kieran's attitude towards Lila was indescribably gentle.

"I'm about to shoot a scene. If you're bored, you can go back first."

Lila was just worried he'd get annoyed, and if one Cecilia came, there would be a second Cecilia.

"No worries, I'll wait for you," he replied honestly.

Lila shrugged. "Suit yourself."

With that, Lila went to the set.

Kieran stood there, clicking his tongue.

So cold.

She really didn't give him any dignity.

That was how it went when you liked someone—it was a food chain.

And Lila? She was at the very top of his.
