Elizabeth bit her lip.
"Alexander, we have an agreement. Let me make it clear, if I still reject you after three months, you really can't pester me anymore!"

That was a contract, not just a verbal agreement.

She answered the call, and a cute child's voice came from the other end, "Elizabeth!"

Whose child was it?
"It's Aubrey, Elizabeth. I asked the nurse for your number, and I'm secretly using my dad's phone to call you!"
