Chapter 910

Elizabeth looked up at Alexander several times.

The Christmas tree in the yard was bright, its light illuminating the silhouettes of the two.

Elizabeth spoke softly, "Tired, aren't you?"

He turned his head to look at Elizabeth, "What?"

He had zoned out and didn't hear what she said.

Elizabeth smiled, looking ahead, and said softly, "Maintaining this relationship, pleasing my parents, achieving your own goals, it's exhausting, isn't it?"

Alexander was silent.

He didn't say anything.

Elizabeth added, "I can see you're very helpless, but there's nothing you can do. So, Alexander, do you think it's worth it?"

Being made a joke of, Alexander gutted fish.

Being treated like a driver by Declan.

Being treated politely but distantly by Rose's side, constantly being called by a formal title.

Alexander was restless in the living room, at a loss in the kitchen, and cautious during meals.

Elizabeth looked up at him; she was almost starting to not recognize this Alexander in front of her.

So unfamiliar.

But it also meant that Alexander was indeed willing to try anything for her.

Elizabeth said, "Alexander."

Alexander nodded.

Elizabeth: "Is it worth it?"

Alexander looked into Elizabeth's eyes, his gaze serious, "Elizabeth, it's worth it."

He could tell Elizabeth with great certainty that it was worth it.

He didn't hesitate at all; it was worth it.

Not to mention being laughed at by others, he wouldn't care even if the whole world laughed at him.

He knew clearly what he wanted.

He wanted Elizabeth back by his side, so this exhaustion was nothing.

Compared to everything Elizabeth had done for him, this was nothing.

Alexander stopped walking.

At the door of the Percy Tudor, his eyes were passionate and deep, his voice gentle yet firm.

He said, "Elizabeth, you can ask me countless times if it's worth it. I will always have the same answer, it's worth it."

He had already missed too much in these past few years.

He couldn't miss Elizabeth again.

He was very sincere, hoping Elizabeth could see his sincerity.

Elizabeth squinted her eyes, smiled, said nothing, and just continued walking outside.

Not far away, Alexander's driver got out of the car.

It wasn't Nolan; Nolan had been very busy at the company recently.

"Drive safely, take it slow, and send me a message when you get home." Elizabeth held the car door, signaling Alexander to get in.

He had drunk a little, but not too much.

So what he said just now was all sincere.

But Alexander had no intention of getting in the car.

He stood by the car, looking at Elizabeth.

In the cold winter, she was dressed lightly.

Tonight, the moon was very full, and the ground was brightly lit. The snow on the roadside that hadn't melted yet glistened with a golden light, very beautiful.

Alexander lowered his head, his hand by his leg, wanting to reach out but then pulling back.

He didn't know when he had become so cautious.

He used to dare to do all sorts of reckless things to Elizabeth.

Maybe, as Elizabeth said, love often feels like a debt. He started to be cautious, caring about her opinion of him.

"Don't deduct any more points from me, Elizabeth." He pleaded cautiously.

Elizabeth saw humility in him.

She also saw an indescribable sense of powerlessness in this Alexander, who was only in his twenties, not even thirty yet.

Alexander had become famous too early.
