Chapter 934
Elizabeth had just sat down when she received a message from Alexander.
Alexander: [I'm learning to cook in the kitchen, and my nose feels uncomfortable. I really want to sneeze.]
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. So what?
What did he mean by that?
Alexander sent another message: [It feels like someone is cursing me behind my back.]
Elizabeth smiled faintly and replied: [It was me cursing you at the class reunion.]
Alexander: [Or maybe I caught a cold.]
Elizabeth smirked: [Do you really believe I wouldn't curse you in front of our classmates?]
Alexander: [Heartless woman.]
Although Elizabeth couldn't see Alexander's face, she sensed the grievance in his tone.
Elizabeth didn't reply, so he sent another message.
Alexander: [Is there a guy who had a crush on you in college and is now successful?]
Elizabeth frowned. She looked around, but there really wasn't anyone.
Alexander: [You can bring him over to show me.]
Elizabeth laughed.
Why would she bring someone who liked her to show Alexander?
Elizabeth: [You're meddling too much.]
Alexander: [Am I? When does it end? I'll pick you up.]
Elizabeth: [Not sure, no need to pick me up, I have my own car.]
Alexander: [Won't there be drinking at the class reunion? How will you drive?]
Elizabeth: [Alexander, who doesn't have a driver these days? Stop nagging, I'm eating.]
With that, Elizabeth turned off her phone and put it on silent.
Alexander saw the message and was so angry he couldn't hold his spoon.
Was he really that nagging?
Elizabeth had only recently started paying attention to him.
Since the divorce, even talking to her had become a luxury.
He looked at himself still diligently learning to cook.
He originally wanted to message Elizabeth to complain, but for some reason, scenes of Elizabeth sending him voice messages or calling him from those years suddenly popped into his mind.
Every time, she would cautiously ask him, "Alexander, are you coming home for dinner today?"
When they had just gotten married, she would sweetly call him, "Honey, I made beef, stir-fried vegetables, and..."
But every time, before she could finish, he would hang up the phone.
Alexander looked at the messages on his phone, just like today.
He always asked her, "Elizabeth, why are you so nagging?"
"Elizabeth, can you stop nagging?"
Now, she really wasn't nagging anymore. The nagging person had become him.
Funny, wasn't it?
The more Alexander thought about it, the more uncomfortable he felt.
He threw all the beef into the pot, and because the water hadn't dried up and there was too much oil, flames instantly flared up.
He looked at the scene in front of him, frowning all the while.
He hurriedly grabbed the lid and threw it on the pot.
Alexander frantically tried to turn off the stove but got burned.
He pulled his hand back, and the doorbell rang.
His flustered state was on full display.
Alexander quickly ran his hand under water, but the doorbell kept ringing. After a while, the door opened by itself. "Alexander, are you home? Isn't your car here?"
