Chapter 1017
"Since that's the case, I'll agree to let you spend some time with Elizabeth!" Celine said, then added, "But remember, I'm not agreeing to this just because of this painting."
Alexander nodded with a smile, "I understand."
Elizabeth smiled, unable to hold back her laughter. Celine was still quite adorable.
"Alright, everything's set outside. Who's cooking today?" Charles walked in casually.
Natalia took off her coat and noticed a painting in front of Celine.
"Did Mr. Tudor bring this?"
"This painting looks really expensive."
"Mr. Tudor, do I get a gift too?" Natalia teased Alexander.
Alexander knew this was another person trying to give him a hard time.
"Sorry, I didn't know you and Charles would be here, so I didn't prepare gifts for you. If there's something you like, I can buy it for you."
"Do you think I can't afford it? I need you to buy it?" Natalia pouted.
Alexander smiled, "Yes, you can afford it, but a gift from someone else is always different from something you buy yourself."
"Mr. Tudor, you're doing all this to please my family, just for Elizabeth." Natalia pouted and looked at the TV.
Alexander calmly explained to Natalia, "We had a misunderstanding before. Now that it's cleared up, I'm pursuing Elizabeth."
Natalia fell silent.
Charles glared at her, signaling her to mind her own business and stop causing trouble.
"The yard still needs to be cleaned. How about Alexander and Elizabeth go clean it?" Grant suddenly instructed.
Alexander immediately nodded and took on the task.
Elizabeth looked at Alexander and couldn't help but remark, "You don't do this kind of work at home, do you?"
Alexander glanced at Elizabeth, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, just thinking you're really going all out." He was willing to do anything.
"Would the Alexander from six months ago do something like this? He might have walked away without looking back, right?" Elizabeth crossed her arms and ate a piece of corn, "No, the Alexander from six months ago wouldn't even be here."
Hearing Elizabeth bring up the past again, Alexander couldn't help but feel hurt.
He stopped in front of Elizabeth and couldn't help but feel aggrieved, "Elizabeth, can we make a few agreements?"
"What?"
"Can we stop talking about the past?" His eyes were full of pity, and his tone softened, almost pleading.
Elizabeth smirked, "What, you don't like hearing it?"
"I was really bad before, but I truly know I was wrong now. I'm begging you." Alexander almost reached out to tug at Elizabeth's sleeve.
Elizabeth looked at his expression and burst into laughter.
"Alexander, do you know what you look like right now?"
"What do I look like?"
"You look like a little kitten begging for attention." Elizabeth raised her hand and straightened his slightly crooked collar.
Alexander sighed, "As long as I can win you back, I don't care what I look like."
"What, Mr. Tudor, you're even willing to be a little puppy? Then let me hear you bark like a dog." Elizabeth couldn't help but tease him.
Alexander didn't expect Elizabeth to actually respond.
He moved his lips but couldn't make a sound.
Elizabeth burst into laughter, "Men, they all just talk."
How could Alexander tolerate this?
He grabbed Elizabeth as she was about to leave. Elizabeth looked at him, "What?"
Alexander's lips tightened as he stared at Elizabeth for a long time, finally, with great shame, he let out a bark.
