Chapter 1029

Alexander looked up at Elizabeth's eyes and brows, afraid that if he let go, she would disappear.

But he knew that if Elizabeth wanted to leave, he couldn't stop her.

"Elizabeth, do you really have to give up on me?"

He asked again, as if he needed an answer.

Elizabeth frowned, her breath hot.

"Do you really have to?" he looked at her.

Elizabeth's heart tightened. She couldn't bring herself to say, "I have to give up on you."

"Alexander," she called him.

Alexander lost his strength, as if he could never hear her say those words.

He suddenly bent down, collapsing to the ground.

Elizabeth was startled and quickly squatted down, "Alexander?"

She immediately helped Alexander up. His eyes were closed, and his lips were pale.

"Alexander!"

He was sent to the emergency room at the hospital.

Elizabeth sat wearily by the bedside.

She had left in a hurry, not even having time to put on a coat, wearing only a thin knit sweater.

A nurse handed Elizabeth one of her own jackets, and Elizabeth nodded in thanks.

The doctor's words echoed in her ears, "Mr. Tudor's stomach condition will only get worse if he doesn't take care of it. These people are always busy with work, neglecting themselves."

Elizabeth pursed her lips. She knew Alexander's stomach was bad, yet she still had Charles and Alexander drink so much.

Her phone suddenly rang.

Elizabeth picked it up; it was Natalia.

Natalia asked, "Elizabeth, why haven't you come back yet? Did something happen?"

Elizabeth looked up, "No, Alexander's stomach acted up. I brought him to the hospital. Don't worry."

Natalia couldn't care less about Alexander; as long as Elizabeth was fine.

Elizabeth asked, "How's Charles?"

Natalia replied, "He's been pestering me, not sleeping, and talking non-stop! He's so annoying. I'll never let him drink in front of me again."

Elizabeth laughed.

Natalia asked, "What's going on with you and Alexander, Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth pursed her lips. She looked at the hospital bed. Alexander was still asleep, but Elizabeth's mind was in turmoil.

Elizabeth: "If I want to get back together, would you scold me?"

Natalia laughed, "Who would scold you? It's your own choice after all."

Elizabeth was silent.

Natalia added, "But."

Elizabeth squinted. But what?

Natalia said, "Since you've decided to get back together, you must have seen the good in Alexander. And sometimes, we outsiders can't see that. In any case, Elizabeth, since you've made up your mind, don't worry about anyone else. After all, happiness is in your own hands."

Elizabeth lowered her head. Natalia's words might not be pleasant, but she was clear-headed at crucial moments.

The reason she talked to Natalia about this was that if she was wrong, she hoped Natalia would scold her awake.

But she didn't expect Natalia to say this.

Natalia added, "Anyway, you've fallen once. A second fall won't make a difference. Go ahead, fall boldly."

Elizabeth sighed, "Useless words."

Natalia laughed, "Elizabeth, I can't make decisions for you. Some paths should be taken by yourself! Good luck!"

As Natalia was speaking, Charles's voice came through the phone, "What path? Who? Doing what? Is it our Elizabeth's path? If you can't figure it out, I will help you. Don't, don't be afraid!!"

Soon, Natalia's distant voice came through the phone, "Dad, Dad. That's not the bathroom, ah!"

Elizabeth was silent.
