Chapter 901
Alexander really didn't know how to clean a fish. He looked up at Declan several times. He thought about giving in.
But seeing the look of anticipation on Declan's face, Alexander just couldn't bring himself to say it.
Several people had walked by while Alexander was still dealing with the fish.
A waiter couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Tudor, would you like me to help you?"
Alexander looked at Declan guiltily.
He was already in the negative with Declan, and if he messed up now, he wouldn't have any points left to lose.
Declan nodded.
Alexander, relieved, immediately handed the knife to the waiter beside him.
The waiter skillfully handled the fish in no time. Alexander watched intently, trying to learn the technique. However, he didn't learn anything.
Declan couldn't help but chuckle.
If he hadn't spoken up, the waiter wouldn't have dared to come over.
He had noticed Alexander's embarrassment.
But Alexander, out of pride, was too embarrassed to ask for help.
Oh well, at least Alexander had the intention to try, which was better than giving up outright.
Alexander took off his apron, went to wash his hands, and cleaned up a bit.
No matter what, he felt like his hands still smelled fishy. He washed them several times at the sink before he was barely satisfied.
Just as Alexander came back, he heard Declan say, "Carry this."
Great, Alexander's freshly washed hands touched the plastic bag and got fishy again.
Alexander had no choice but to carry it.
He thought that was the end of it, but it wasn't.
Declan continued to take him grocery shopping.
"Alexander, what do you usually like to eat?" Declan asked.
Hearing Declan call him Alexander made him feel quite comfortable.
"Everything is fine." Alexander didn't have the luxury of being picky.
Declan glanced at him and said with a smile, "You don't sound sincere at all."
"Let's get some beef. Do you prefer beef soup or steak?" he asked Alexander.
Alexander moved his lips.
He felt like it wasn't that simple.
Was Declan just asking about his food preferences?
"Let's get some for soup and some for steak!" Declan answered himself.
Alexander immediately nodded, "Sure."
"Let's get some shrimp. Our Elizabeth loves it," Declan said with a smile.
Alexander was momentarily dazed.
Maybe Declan wasn't asking about his preferences but testing him to see if he knew what Elizabeth liked.
So Elizabeth likes beef soup, steak, and shrimp, right?
"You probably don't know our Elizabeth very well, do you?" Declan asked Alexander.
Alexander lowered his head. He had to be honest.
"I don't really know Elizabeth well."
"Have you tried to get to know her?"
"I'm trying to now."
"So, do you know her preferences?"
Alexander shook his head.
Declan asked, "What have you learned about her so far?"
Alexander immediately replied, "She likes things with Kennedy elements, loves cool cars, and is a great driver. Elizabeth is very skilled in medicine, not like what people say. Her personality isn't as tough as it seems. And she..."
Declan looked at him, and Alexander, feeling guilty, didn't dare to continue.
