Chapter 938
Elizabeth smiled, showing no real interest in him. Although her first impression of him when she entered the booth was not bad.
"Sorry, it's not convenient," she refused.
The man's face darkened for a moment, then he smiled, "Can't classmates even add each other on Facebook? Do I need some capital to add your Facebook, Ms. Percy?"
Elizabeth stared at his face.
Such a delicate face. He didn't look like the calculating type, so why did he seem so disgusting?
"Indeed. You need capital," Elizabeth smiled. Was he satisfied with this answer?
The man clenched his right fist, instantly furious.
"What kind of capital? Even Alexander's indifference didn't stop you from marrying him, but you can't add me on Facebook?"
Elizabeth laughed.
Look at these people, always picking at your sore spots to hurt you.
They knew her weaknesses and what disgusted her the most.
Luckily, she didn't add such people as friends.
"Are you low? Are you looking for trouble?" Elizabeth frowned. She admitted her temper was getting worse.
"What are you being so arrogant about!" The man acted as if he was the one wronged. He didn't know how to spread rumors about Elizabeth afterward.
Elizabeth felt annoyed and didn't want to go back inside.
She leaned against the wall alone, looking at her phone, planning to go home directly when they finished eating and moved to another place.
If it weren't for Thalia, she wouldn't have bothered to come to this gathering today.
Speaking of Thalia, she wondered what Thalia wanted to say.
In college, Alexander?
Elizabeth thought for a moment and decided to go inside and ask Thalia.
Then she heard the man's voice from inside. "She wouldn't even add me on Facebook. Is she really here to attend the reunion?"
"I think she's just here to show off. Show off her money, show off how Alexander was indifferent to her back then, but now he's chasing her!"
The harsh voice was annoying.
Although Elizabeth had been discussed by everyone over the years, hearing it herself still made her uncomfortable.
"Whether Alexander is really pursuing her is still up for debate! Maybe it's just her own fantasy."
"Besides being a bit pretty and having some money, what else does she have? No manners, no medical ethics! She annoys me."
Elizabeth squinted. What was this, a fit of rage after being rejected?
This person was too easily broken.
She hadn't said much, just refused to add him on Facebook.
Elizabeth sent a message to Thalia, planning to go out for a walk.
Suddenly, the door of the adjacent booth was pushed open, and someone inside shouted, "Quick, waiter! Quick!"
"Hello, is this the emergency center?"
Elizabeth couldn't help but step inside to take a look.
Through the gaps in the crowd, she saw a man foaming at the mouth, collapsed on the ground. The people around him kept calling him, but it was no use.
He was convulsing all over. His chest was visibly rising.
Elizabeth squinted. Soon, the man stopped convulsing, his whole body stiffened, and he lay on the ground unresponsive.
"What's wrong with you? Don't scare me!"
Seeing this, Elizabeth walked in.
"Let me take a look," she squeezed into the crowd.
Someone recognized her.
