Chapter 1044

Elizabeth arrived in Coral Harbor at exactly five in the morning.

The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a sleepy glow over the quiet town. Coral Harbor typically enjoyed temperatures in the seventies to eighties year-round, and the coastal location meant there was always a gentle sea breeze keeping things comfortable.

At the Sunnyvale Hotel, the door to the suite was open, as if waiting for Elizabeth to arrive.

Elizabeth took the suitcase from the butler's hand and smiled at him, "Alright, thank you."

The butler nodded, gave some instructions, and then left.

Elizabeth heard a girl's voice coming from the bedroom of the suite, speaking softly on the phone, "Honey, I'm on vacation, so I just came out to have some fun."

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow, immediately knowing that Lila had sneaked out without her assistant again.

The assistant was always worried sick about Lila every day.

Elizabeth pushed open the bedroom door, crossed her arms, and leaned casually against the doorframe, looking up to meet Lila's gaze as she turned around.

For a moment, Elizabeth felt a spark.

Lila had her hair in a braid draped over her shoulder, wearing a floral dress that revealed her beautiful neck and back, looking absolutely stunning.

A movie star was a movie star, after all. She was too perfect—what man wouldn't fall for her?

"Alright honey, I swear, I'll play for two days and then go back, okay?"

"Honey, I promise I'll go back soon, no need to rush me!"

"Don't worry, that's it."

After saying that, Lila immediately hung up the phone.

She tossed the phone onto the bed, then exaggeratedly looked at Elizabeth and exclaimed, "Baby!"

Elizabeth pouted, her eyes instantly filled with disdain, "You have too many babies, don't you?"

"No, everyone else is just a passerby, only you are my one and only baby." She hugged Elizabeth tightly, showing how much she missed her.

She had been so busy this past year, every time she met Elizabeth briefly, she had to go back to work.

Now that Elizabeth was traveling, she wanted to spend quality time with her and also take a break herself.

"A beautiful woman's sweet talk is always lies!" Elizabeth tapped Lila's forehead playfully.

Lila pouted, looking extremely aggrieved, "Elizabeth, I'm the faithful one here, unlike you!"

At this point, Lila sat on the bed, genuinely feeling wronged.

Back in college, Elizabeth was so fond of Esme, and Lila was the one who got left behind!

Elizabeth instantly felt a surge of guilt.

She quickly sat down and hugged Lila, "I was wrong."

Lila was the easiest to appease in front of Elizabeth, and she knew it was not easy to get Elizabeth to admit her mistake.

So the next second, Elizabeth heard Lila say, "Fine, I forgive you."

Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh and shake her head.

"I'll change my clothes, and we'll go have breakfast."

Lila replied, "Alright!"

Neither of them rested, they changed clothes and went straight to breakfast.

This place was always a tourist hotspot, never lacking visitors.

At six-thirty in the morning, the restaurant was already quite crowded.

Elizabeth and Lila found an inconspicuous corner to eat, but they still quickly attracted attention.

Although Lila was stunning, Elizabeth was equally attractive in her own right.

Elizabeth had curly hair, a long dress, and a perfect figure, no passerby could resist taking a second look at her.

Together, their presence was impossible to ignore.

Lila cleared her throat, "I should have brought sunglasses and a hat."

"Having a meal with you is always like this." Elizabeth shook her head. But she was used to it.

Having a celebrity best friend meant dealing with this kind of attention.

"So, what's new with you?" Lila asked, savoring this rare chance to catch up.
