Chapter 912

Elizabeth saw Alexander off late at very late night, and when she got home, her hands were freezing.

Rose poured her a cup of hot coffee to warm her hands.

Elizabeth snuggled into Rose's embrace, watching a late-night romance drama on TV.

Rose ate some fruit, occasionally complaining about the plot.

Elizabeth's body quickly warmed up.

Rose didn't ask about her plans with Alexander, and Elizabeth didn't bring it up either.

Declan just handed over the Christmas gift he had planned to give her.

It was a beautiful pair of high heels.

Declan said the gift wasn't expensive, but he hoped Elizabeth would always be cherished like a treasure.

Elizabeth picked up her phone.

It was a message from Alexander.

Alexander: [I'm home. Good night.]

The next day, Elizabeth tiredly crawled out of bed, and there was a new message on her nightstand phone.

Alexander: [Morning.]

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow, thinking, what's he doing trying to act like young people in love, sending good morning and good night messages?

Elizabeth quickly freshened up, had breakfast, and went to the hospital.

She wanted to check on Lily and also see Aubrey.

On the way, Elizabeth sent Alexander a message, asking if he wanted to join her.

Since Elizabeth invited him, he would definitely come.

At the door of Aubrey's dad's hospital room, the two met.

Alexander asked, "You just got here too?"

Elizabeth looked up, what?

Elizabeth had been there for a while, secretly giving Lily acupuncture.

"Elizabeth!"

Aubrey's voice came from the hospital room, and soon the door was pushed open.

Elizabeth bent down and picked up Aubrey, "Good morning, you're up so early?"

"Yes." Aubrey nodded, pointing inside, "My dad is awake too."

"Why are you only greeting her and ignoring me?" Alexander said jealously.

The little boy smiled at Alexander, "Good morning."

Only then did Alexander pat his head.

Alexander draped his coat over his arm and went in with Elizabeth, seeing the man who had been stabbed yesterday sitting on the hospital bed.

He looked very haggard from his injury yesterday, and neither of them had looked closely.

Today, seeing him, the man looked under thirty, very young. And he was quite robust and handsome.

However, he didn't seem to be a local.

"Dad, this is your lifesaver." Aubrey jumped down from Elizabeth's arms and went to his bedside to introduce her.

The man coughed.

Although it wasn't serious, he still looked very weak.

Elizabeth looked at his breakfast, two pieces of bread.

Did he seem very short on money?

"This bread is really good, sweet!" Aubrey ran over, took a bite of the bread, and then choked. He quickly poured himself a glass of water, looking very cute.

Elizabeth laughed.

She walked over and ruffled Aubrey's hair, "Is this all you're eating?"

"Yes, my dad and I often eat this! It's really good, and it fills us up!"

The man on the bed coughed again and said, "Don't listen to Aubrey's nonsense, we usually eat quite well."

"Thank you for saving me. My name is Quincy Hagen. This is my son, Aubrey."

Elizabeth and Alexander exchanged a glance.

Alexander casually leaned against the wall, his deep eyes scrutinizing Quincy.

Quincy didn't look well.

Quincy's accent confirmed it; he wasn't a local.

"Where are you from?" Alexander asked him.
