Chapter 908
"Oh my God, so sudden. Mom, why didn't you tell me earlier? Could I have had time to manage my figure?" Elizabeth rubbed her stomach; she seemed to have gained weight recently.
"You're already very slim!" Rose frowned, not wanting Elizabeth to lose any more weight.
Rose didn't forget to ask Alexander, "Isn't that right, Mr. Tudor?"
Alexander was suddenly called out.
He quickly nodded, "Yes, Elizabeth is indeed very slim."
Elizabeth glanced at him, and neither of them said anything more.
Alexander felt really awkward sitting there, so he stood up and said, "I'll go check if the kitchen needs any help."
"Okay." Rose smiled.
Alexander immediately went to the kitchen.
Rose then nudged Elizabeth's arm and said with a smile, "Look at him, he's so reserved in our house."
"Yeah. Outside, he's so proud and arrogant. How did he end up like this?" Elizabeth pouted, her tone indescribable.
Maybe she felt a bit smug.
Such an arrogant man had to bow down to her.
But she also felt a lot of emotions.
"You deserve his humility! He wants to pursue you without putting in any effort. Where in the world does such a good thing exist?"
Elizabeth smiled at Rose and then nodded.
Rose made a good point.
A woman should have the demeanor a woman deserved.
If a man wanted to pursue a woman, he should have the right attitude.
Put in money, effort, and sincerity.
Otherwise, don't talk about pursuing a woman.
You couldn't just say a few words and expect to win a woman over, right?
Even hiring a nanny, the nanny would be picky, checking if the employer's house had an elevator and if the housework was light, let alone choosing a husband.
"Come on, let's continue looking at the designs."
The two of them were having a great time in the living room.
Alexander was tiptoeing around the kitchen, not knowing how he could help.
"Just sit down, I don't need any help from you. Just wait and see how my cooking turns out!"
For the first time, Alexander realized how difficult it was to integrate into a family.
He couldn't help but admire Elizabeth once again.
How much charm and perseverance must Elizabeth have to make the Tudor family like her?
Even after their divorce, the family still spoke highly of Elizabeth.
Thinking about Esme, she couldn't gain the Tudor family's respect even after years.
He used to think the family had issues with Esme.
Now it seemed, Esme was simply unlikable.
If he had listened to his family earlier, he wouldn't be in such a difficult situation now.
He felt more and more sorry for Elizabeth.
He also increasingly hated his own stupidity and ignorance.
Declan had been busy in the kitchen for over an hour.
A table full of dishes was served.
Rose served Alexander some food, and Declan poured him some wine.
Elizabeth reminded Alexander that he had driven there and shouldn't drink.
Although it was chaotic, the concern from the three of them left Alexander at a loss, Alexander had to admit, this family atmosphere was so warm.
This warmth should have belonged to him, but he had pushed it away with his own hands.
Alexander said, "Thank you, I can have a little wine. I'll call a driver."
"What about your hand?" Elizabeth pointed to his right hand.
