Chapter 1060
As Alexander and Elizabeth were talking, a man in an elegant suit suddenly walked over. The man looked at Alexander and Elizabeth, gave Alexander a polite smile, and then asked Elizabeth, "Hello, ma'am, are you out here alone?"
Elizabeth squinted and couldn't help but glance at Alexander.
Alexander was speechless. Was she alone? Wasn't it obvious that he was right there? Or did he somehow become invisible?
"What do you think?" Elizabeth smiled slightly, her tone very gentle, with an indescribable obedience in her eyes.
Alexander looked at Elizabeth, taking in her seductive gaze, and couldn't help but curl his lips as he took a sip of his coffee.
When Elizabeth looked at a man with such eyes, it not only failed to drive the man away but also increased his desire to conquer her.
Did she understand men or not? Or was this move intentional?
The man was indeed enticed by Elizabeth's gaze.
He looked at Elizabeth for a while, struggling to pull his thoughts away from her seductive eyes.
"I couldn't help but notice you," he said, extending his business card. "I'd love to take you out sometime. My number's on there."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow.
She glanced at the business card, but her expression remained unimpressed.
The man, however, misread her reaction completely, interpreting her polite attention as interest and believing he still had a chance.
While both of them were waiting for the other to make a move or back down.
A slender, attractive hand reached over and took the business card.
Both the man and Elizabeth looked over to see Alexander raising an eyebrow, his shirt unbuttoned at the top two buttons, casually and lazily shaking the business card in his hand before tossing it into his coffee cup.
The man's expression froze instantly.
Elizabeth squinted her eyes, looking at Alexander with interest, not understanding what he was up to.
Alexander smiled at the man and said, "What's the matter? Am I that easy to miss? Or were you just too busy hitting on my girlfriend to notice me sitting right here?"
Elizabeth suddenly laughed.
Alexander was anxious.
She hadn't even said a few words to this man, and Alexander was already anxious.
She propped her face up, inexplicably enjoying this intense conflict.
She wanted to make Alexander jealous, to make him anxious, to show him that she was also attractive, that she wasn't dependent on him.
The man was surprised, "You two are a couple?"
"What, doesn't it look like it?"
Alexander's gaze was far from friendly, even sharp.
The man said, "Not really. Sir, you may be handsome, but I think this lady deserves a better man."
Hearing this, Alexander's face turned displeased. The relaxed demeanor he had earlier vanished, replaced by immediate tension.
Elizabeth had to stifle a laugh.
This Coral Harbor was hardly some backwater town. How could anyone not recognize Alexander?
A scene like this would never happen in Lisbun.
Back in Lisbun, people practically dove for cover the moment Alexander appeared!
"So, you mean you and she are a better match?" Alexander placed one hand on the table, tapping it lightly.
The man smiled slightly, even adjusting his suit jacket, as if to say: Isn't it obvious?
Alexander snorted.
Great, this guy was really full of himself.
Elizabeth watched Alexander with interest, curious to see how he would respond next.
Alexander said, "The dumpster is outside if you want to throw yourself in. Otherwise, maybe take a look in the mirror and see what you're really working with."
Elizabeth looked at the man again.
The man said, "Come on, man, we can just keep this friendly competition, right? No need for insults."
Alexander was puzzled. Who was competing fairly with him?
Alexander couldn't help but look at Elizabeth.
Shit, had she actually invited this guy over to make him jealous?
"I appreciate your interest, really," Elizabeth said politely but firmly. "But I'm here with someone. Maybe we'll run into each other another time."
The man sighed upon hearing this, "Alright then."
