Chapter 1026

Elizabeth opened the car door and pushed Alexander inside.

Alexander fumbled in the dark to fasten his seatbelt.

When Elizabeth got in the car, she found that he was already sitting obediently, which made her smile.

Elizabeth drove at a moderate speed. There were quite a few cars on the road, most of them out for fun, and some heading home.

Alexander turned his head, his gaze fixed on Elizabeth.

Elizabeth could feel him looking at her, but she didn't look back. Her mind was filled with the messages Declan had sent.

Should she give him up?

Elizabeth frowned, holding her forehead with one hand, deep in thought.

"Am I making you hate me?" Alexander's hoarse voice suddenly came from beside her.

Elizabeth looked over, what?

"I drank, does that make you hate me?" he asked again, like a child, afraid of making Elizabeth unhappy.

"No." Elizabeth shook her head.

It was hard for him to be so considerate of her feelings even when he was drunk.

"I'm sorry," he suddenly said.

Elizabeth pressed her lips together, seemingly immune to this phrase.

He was apologizing again.

"But I couldn't refuse Charles," he said, fighting off sleepiness, his eyes wide open.

Elizabeth nodded, "I know. It's okay that you drank."

Alexander turned to look out the window, feeling a discomfort in his heart. He didn't know if he was drunk or sober.

He suddenly remembered what Kieran had said, that when a woman was overly understanding, it meant she didn't love you anymore and had given up on you.

Whenever Alexander thought about Elizabeth not loving him anymore, his heart ached, it hurt so much.

He had lost someone who loved him very much.

Alexander closed his eyes, feeling a sting in them, as if tears were about to fall.

At the door of the Tudor family villa, Elizabeth opened the car door and helped him out.

Elizabeth opened the door with the previous code and couldn't help but glance at him.

He had tried hard to restore the house to its original state, the way it was when Elizabeth was still there.

But he found that without Elizabeth, no matter how much he restored it, it could never go back to the way it was.

Elizabeth helped Alexander upstairs.

Alexander lay on the bed, completely exhausted.

Elizabeth made him a cup of hot coffee, and when she went upstairs, Alexander was just coming out of the bathroom.

His stomach felt uncomfortable, he had just vomited, and after rinsing his mouth, he felt uncomfortable again.

He sat on the sofa, watching Elizabeth's figure, feeling uneasy. He always felt that Elizabeth had something to say.

Elizabeth placed the cup on the coffee table and asked him, "Is your stomach uncomfortable?"

Alexander shook his head and pointed to the sofa beside him, indicating for Elizabeth to sit down.

Elizabeth looked at him, curious, "Are you drunk?"

Alexander was drunk.

But he still had a bit of clarity.

Because the person in front of him was Elizabeth.

"Still a bit clear, right?" Elizabeth came to Alexander's side.

Alexander nodded.

Elizabeth looked at him, "Can you hear me clearly?"

"Yes," he replied.

Elizabeth pressed her lips together.

She looked at Alexander, her brows furrowed, feeling inexplicably heavy-hearted.

That oppressive feeling was really uncomfortable.

Alexander looked up at her.

Elizabeth moved her lips.

"Alexander," she called his name, her voice so light it could be blown away by the wind.

Alexander nodded, looking at her more intently.
