Chapter 759

Alexander lowered his head and couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh.

He truly couldn't understand how his marriage had become such a mess.

Why did he hurt Elizabeth, who loved him so deeply?

Did Elizabeth not have dignity, a heart, or feel pain?

He was too harsh.

"Hello, ma'am." Suddenly, a waiter's voice came to Elizabeth's ear, and she turned her head.

The waiter was holding a glass of wine and a small bouquet of roses. "The gentleman at table 23 asked me to bring this to you."

Elizabeth looked up. Table 23, to her right and ahead, was occupied by a man who looked quite gentlemanly.

However, he seemed to be older, almost forty, perhaps.

She wasn't very fond of older men.

"Please tell him that he's not my type." Elizabeth smiled gently.

It was the first time the waiter had been this close to Elizabeth, and he was momentarily dazzled by her gentleness and beauty.

He nodded repeatedly and turned to decline the offer.

The man's face darkened because he had friends with him.

He took the wine and roses from the waiter, straightened his clothes, and walked toward Elizabeth.

If the waiter couldn't do it, he would do it himself.

How could he pursue a woman without setting aside his pride?

Elizabeth saw the man approaching her.

She turned on the "Do Not Disturb" sign, but the man ignored it.

He leaned in and greeted her enthusiastically, "Hello Elizabeth, may I get to know you?"

He knew who she was.

Elizabeth found it amusing.

"Do you see that? My ex-husband is right over there." Elizabeth glanced in Alexander's direction.

The man paused. Alexander was here?

He really hadn't noticed!

He had just arrived, and Alexander hadn't been at his seat when he got there!

"My ex-husband is trying to reconcile with me right now. Tell me, why would I give up such a handsome and wealthy man for you?" Elizabeth was quite blunt.

But to reject someone, you had to be straightforward; otherwise, they would think they had a chance!

The man's face darkened, and he tightened his grip on the glass.

"Elizabeth, I may not be as good as Mr. Tudor, but you don't have to be so harsh."

"If you don't leave, I can be even harsher." Elizabeth finished the water in her glass and then set it down.

The atmosphere became tense.

The man hadn't expected Elizabeth to be such a tough woman.

He let out a cold laugh and decisively took back his wine and flowers.

"Sorry to bother you." He said, and as he turned, he unexpectedly locked eyes with Alexander's cold gaze.

Alexander was swirling his wine glass, casually leaning back in his chair, his narrow eyes fixed on the man as if he were looking at a dog, his gaze slowly filling with mockery.

Alexander's gaze was so piercing that it made the man uncomfortable.

Anyone who could be here was no ordinary person.

Alexander and Elizabeth really were a pair who didn't give people any dignity!

Alexander stopped swirling his glass and then turned his gaze to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth gave Alexander a slight smile, as if thanking him for driving the man away.

Alexander felt the strong aura emanating from Elizabeth.
