Chapter 1062

Coral Harbor was packed with tourists, and the moment you stepped outside your hotel, you were surrounded by visitors from all over.

Elizabeth and Lila walking together attracted a lot of attention.

Even with their sunglasses on and attempting to keep a low profile, Alexander and Kieran had the kind of presence that was impossible to disguise.

People walking by couldn't help but whisper about them as they passed.

Elizabeth and Lila went to browse luxury stores, and the two of them chatted in the lounge area, attracting the attention of the young girls in the store who kept glancing their way.

Elizabeth glanced at Alexander, who was resting his face on his hand, seemingly unbothered by the stares he attracted. His eyes remained fixed on Elizabeth, like a human ATM ready to fund her every whim.

Elizabeth turned away and casually pointed to a display of handbags on the shelf above. "I'll take those," she said flatly, not bothering to examine them closely.

The store manager looked surprised. "Don't you want to see how they look on you first?" she asked gently.

Elizabeth shrugged, "Why bother? My friend here is loaded," she said, gesturing toward Alexander. "He told me to go wild. If I like them when I get home, great. If not, they'll just collect dust."

With that, Elizabeth wandered off to browse other merchandise.

Lila was shocked!

Alexander chuckled.

So, he was the so-called "friend"?

"Ms. Percy's friend."

Kieran kept teasing from the side.

Alexander didn't mind; in fact, he found it somewhat sweet.

A friend was better than a stranger, right?

Seeing Alexander's pleased expression, Kieran couldn't help but facepalm and shake his head.

Alexander was going to be humble in front of Elizabeth for a lifetime!

Elizabeth calling Alexander a friend made him happy; wasn't this self-strategy?

Lila crossed her arms and seriously looked at the bags above.

Kieran couldn't help but ask, "Ms. Parker, perhaps you also need a friend to pay for you?"

Elizabeth looked at Kieran even before Lila did.

Kieran lazily leaned on the sofa, arms crossed, looking at Lila with interest.

To be honest, he was very handsome.

Kieran always had an indescribable roguish charm, very laid-back.

Alexander occasionally had a similar lazy vibe, but compared to Kieran, it was still lacking.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I have money," Lila said.

"This has nothing to do with whether you have money. Ms. Percy has money too." Kieran stood up and walked over to Lila, saying, "You have to know, some things are different when bought by yourself versus given by someone else."

"Like a bag." Kieran shook the pretty bag the sales associate had just put down and hadn't had time to wrap, saying, "When given by someone else, it makes you happy. When bought by yourself, it's just because you like it."

Lila squinted, smiling at Kieran, and said, "As expected of Mr. Getty, you really understand women."

Kieran shrugged, looking very carefree.

"But I really don't need it, thank you." Lila smiled.

The relationship between Elizabeth and Alexander, not to mention buying a few bags, even giving his life to Elizabeth would be expected. Alexander owed Elizabeth. Besides, Alexander was still pursuing Elizabeth.

Elizabeth asking for Alexander's things had a reason.

Lila asking for Kieran's things, what would that be?

"As a boss, buying something for your business partner isn't inappropriate, right? Why are you embarrassed to accept it!" Kieran scratched his head.

"I have principles."

"Having too many principles isn't good either, it makes it hard for people to make a move." Kieran sighed, inadvertently revealing his true thoughts.

As soon as he said that, the three of them looked at Kieran.

"Mr. Getty, may I ask you, what move are you trying to make?" Elizabeth asked.

"Of course, pursuing Lila." Alexander sneered.

Kieran had probably been eyeing Lila for a while, but hadn't made a move yet.

His behavior had changed dramatically recently—he was being unusually well-behaved, completely different from his usual self.

Even when he'd had girlfriends in the past, he'd never acted this way. Typically, he'd enjoy what he had while still keeping his options open.

Lila was very clear-headed; she knew what she wanted.
