Chapter 1008
"Even though you're busy, can't you be a bit more gentle? We're all seniors here, so what's wrong with being a little patient?"
"If you're in the service industry, you should have a proper attitude. If you can't even speak nicely, then you shouldn't be in this line of work."
Alexander squinted his eyes; the voice sounded very familiar. It seemed like Celine's voice.
Alexander quickly walked over and saw Grant helping an elderly gentleman up while Celine was arguing with a young female shop owner.
"How I run my store is my business. If you want to buy something, buy it. If not, then leave. I don't need your preaching!" The shop owner glared at Celine, her tone extremely unpleasant and her voice sharp.
Celine was furious, "The customer is always right. Don't you understand that?"
"Stop bothering me." The shop owner looked aggrieved and in a bad state.
A few more words and she might start crying.
Alexander understood all too well; his employees often behaved like this.
"How can you talk like that? You pushed the elderly man down and didn't even apologize. Now you're still yelling at people." Celine was getting angrier.
A professor with such integrity, how could Celine tolerate this kind of treatment?
Seeing that Celine was about to argue again, Grant called her, "Enough."
"Don't stoop to her level. If she has no manners, does that mean you shouldn't either?" Grant was displeased. He then asked the elderly gentleman in front of him, "Are you okay, sir?"
But before Grant could finish, the female shop owner rushed out and shouted, "Who are you calling ill-mannered?"
"You think you're all so well-mannered, right? If you were, would you be causing a scene in front of my store?"
She seemed to be on the verge of a breakdown, her voice getting louder. People around were watching and whispering, "Is she mentally unstable?"
"What's wrong with this woman? Is she always like this?"
"How can she run a business like this?"
The murmurs seemed to upset her even more, and she continued to yell, "Fine, you're all well-mannered, and I'm not. If you have the guts, shut down my store!"
"If you can't shut down my store, then stop flaunting your power here!" She was confident they couldn't shut down her store.
As she spoke, she pushed Celine.
Celine took two steps back, and Grant quickly went to support her.
"What's wrong with you? You're so rude!" Grant was furious.
The shop owner pointed at Grant and shouted, "Get out, all of you, get out of my store."
Alexander couldn't stand it anymore. He squeezed in and stood in front of Grant, "Ma'am, is this how you do business?"
"Who are you?" She pointed angrily at Alexander, "Another busybody, huh?"
Alexander's face was cold. He was tall, and standing in front of a woman, he looked even more imposing and authoritative.
He frowned, glaring at her, and said coldly, "Apologize to them!"
"And if I don't?" The woman raised her face, smiling at Alexander with a look that said, "What can you do about it?"
Alexander squinted, looking down at her with his deep, cold eyes.
The woman glared back, neither of them breaking eye contact.
Alexander raised an eyebrow and took a step forward.
The woman instinctively took a step back.
Alexander scoffed. Why was she retreating? Was she scared?
She was just a bully who preyed on the weak!
Bullying the elderly, what kind of skill was that?
Alexander's eyes grew colder, his expression more indifferent.
