Chapter 995

"Rose Restaurant," Alexander replied.

Nolan nodded, "Yes."

Alexander then asked him, "How's the task I gave you going?"

"Don't worry, Mr. Tudor. I'll get the bag Ms. Percy likes no matter what," Nolan replied with a smile.

Elizabeth couldn't help but feel sorry for Nolan. It really was a hassle for him.

The atmosphere in the car was a bit quiet.

Nolan wanted the two to chat more, so he initiated a topic, "Ms. Percy, did your grandparents give Mr. Tudor a hard time?"

Elizabeth looked up and casually said, "No, my grandpa was very nice."

Alexander was puzzled.

"Does that mean your grandma wasn't very nice?" Nolan smiled.

Elizabeth quickly shook her head, "No, my grandma was nice too. She even told Alexander to talk less."

She managed to put a positive spin on Celine's dislike for his talking.

She really saved his dignity.

Nolan glanced at Alexander through the rearview mirror.

Alexander's face was very displeased. Nolan didn't need to think to know that Alexander must have been put down inside.

"Mr. Tudor, take it slow," Nolan reminded Alexander.

Alexander said nothing.

Elizabeth chatted with Nolan a bit more, which made Alexander very unhappy.

Where did they get so many topics to talk about?

Alexander couldn't even chat with Elizabeth for a few sentences!

Alexander was jealous, but Elizabeth didn't notice.

Nolan, however, saw Alexander gradually stop talking and realized what was happening. He then focused on driving seriously.

The car soon stopped at the entrance of Rose Restaurant.

Elizabeth followed Alexander's side, and the two entered the restaurant together. The waiter led the way.

The restaurant had a deep ambiance, with a high-ceilinged foyer and dim lighting. The sound of the cello was deep and mellow, making the atmosphere even more serene.

"Do you want to eat something?" Alexander asked Elizabeth.

Elizabeth thought for a moment, "I'll have some foie gras and a dessert."

"Okay."

The table was set with roses and candles, very romantic.

People around them spoke in hushed tones.

Elizabeth glanced around and finally fixed her gaze on Alexander.

Alexander was still the most pleasing to the eye.

"When do you plan to start working?" Elizabeth suddenly asked Alexander.

Alexander was arranging the cutlery, "Depends on my mood."

"Are you saying that if you can't win me over, you won't work?" Elizabeth couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy.

Alexander paused and smiled, "Yes."

"Then wouldn't I be a sinner?" Elizabeth said.

Alexander smiled, "How could you be?"

"You should work. I can't stand seeing you idle every day."

Alexander took a sip of water and said to her, "Why don't you quit your job then?"

"Quit my job for what? Who's going to manage the research institute?" Elizabeth glared at him, "I'd be scorned by everyone."

"Why?"

"Why do you think Sheldon held a press conference for me?"

Those who were eagerly anticipating SH2N, what would they think feel if they found out the person developing it resigned?

Alexander frowned. Wasn't it just to introduce the new director?

Seeing Alexander's confusion, Elizabeth teased him, "I thought all businessmen were the same. Turns out, you're quite different."
