Chapter 152

Alexander's grip on his phone tightened as the image of that man flashed in his mind. The guy really did look a lot like Joseph.

'Elizabeth and Joseph are meeting at a hotel now? How did Elizabeth calmly take the same elevator with me last night to meet Joseph? Were their hugs meant to provoke me?' Alexander felt a surge of frustration. He wished he could go back and confront Elizabeth.

She had someone use a Trojan horse to mess up his phone and company systems, then went to meet another guy at a hotel!

Ever since she wanted a divorce, Elizabeth had shown him a whole new side of herself.

On her way home, Elizabeth sneezed hard.

She rubbed her nose and muttered, "Did I catch a cold today? Doesn't seem like it."

Her phone buzzed with a text.

The man at hotel: [When are you coming tomorrow? I'll wait for you to have dinner together!]

Elizabeth sighed. He was still as clingy as ever!

The man at hotel: [And also, think carefully about what I said. Don't rush to answer me!]

Elizabeth pressed her lips, put down her phone, and ignored him.

The next day.

Elizabeth went to work as usual and hurried off after work in the evening.

As she was leaving, she ran into Alexander, who was visiting Esme at the hospital. They exchanged cold glances and passed by each other.

Standing by the elevator, Alexander overheard doctors chatting, "Isn't Dr. Percy very close with her husband? Why has she been rushing home after work lately? Like newlyweds!"

"Yeah, she wasn't this eager to leave work before. She's been quite active recently!"

Hearing this, Alexander's face darkened.

'Newlyweds? Very close? These words weren't about Elizabeth and me.' Thinking of this, Alexander couldn't help but look in the direction Elizabeth had left.

Tightening his grip on the fruit bag, Alexander picked up his phone and messaged Nolan: [Check Joseph's schedule.]

Five minutes later, Nolan replied, [He's going to the St. Regis Hotel tonight.]

Alexander's face darkened. Thinking of Elizabeth's hurried departure earlier, he decided to follow her.

At 7 PM, St. Regis Hotel.

Elizabeth knocked on the suite door.

A man in a bathrobe lazily opened it.

The man was thirty-seven, in great shape, and looked quite young. There was an undeniable resemblance between his features and Elizabeth's.

Elizabeth walked into the suite.

Alexander saw Elizabeth's back as she entered and heard the man say, "Why are you so late?"

"Late? I came right after work!" Elizabeth replied.

The door closed, leaving Alexander outside.

Alexander frowned, feeling increasingly unbalanced.

He and Esme hadn't done anything, but Elizabeth and Joseph were already meeting at a hotel?

Alexander took out his phone, thought for a moment, and called Elizabeth with a number that hadn't been blocked.

When Elizabeth answered, he asked, "Where are you?"

"Do I need to inform you of my itinerary?" Elizabeth rolled her eyes, her tone full of disdain.

"Elizabeth. Do you think I'm asking where you are because I care about you? When are you going to compensate the Tudor Group?" Alexander's voice was cold and filled with anger.

Elizabeth, annoyed, said, "You won't be shortchanged!"

At that moment, Alexander heard a man's voice on the phone, "Who is it?"

Elizabeth replied, "A telemarketer."

With that, Elizabeth hung up.

Alexander fell silent.

Elizabeth actually said he was a telemarketer!

Alexander strode forward and raised his hand to knock on the door.

But just as his fist was about to land, he stopped.

Biting his back teeth, Alexander clenched his fist!
