"Grandma, I just want to take a trip. It's rare to have a holiday." Elizabeth hugged Celine's arm, as if begging for Celine's permission.
Celine looked at Elizabeth, worried that Elizabeth might have other reasons.
Did Elizabeth really want to go out for a trip, or was she in a bad mood?
"Even if I disagree, you'll still go. Why bother making it seem like you won't go if I don't agree?" Celine snorted, then picked up something from the table to eat.
Elizabeth chuckled sheepishly.
"Do as you please. If you want to relax, go ahead, just be safe." Celine said.
Elizabeth nodded, "I know, Grandma. I'll buy you something fun if I see it."
Celine laughed, "Something fun? I'm not a child."
Elizabeth hugged Celine.
Celine suddenly said, "I heard that Esme attempted suicide and is in the hospital again."
"Yes, I saw it last night. The Russell Family has been having a tough time lately." Elizabeth thought of Ellen.
Ellen had aged a lot.
The first time they met, Ellen was still an arrogant woman.
"Leon is a good person." Celine sighed, "Whenever he saw us, he would always nod and bow in greeting."
Elizabeth smiled, "Grandma, it's because of your status. Your presence is beneficial to the country, so of course, he would greet you."
"No, it depends on the person. Why doesn't Ellen greet me politely then?" Celine's question stumped Elizabeth.
Indeed.
Ellen was just an uncultured person, indifferent to whoever was in front of her.
Leon was different from Ellen.
"They are pitiful too. The daughter they doted on so much isn't even their biological child!" Celine shook her head, feeling sorry for the Russell Family.
Natalia walked over and happened to hear Celine's words.
Natalia couldn't help but look at Elizabeth, sighing inwardly.
Celine was talking about others, but wasn't it the same in their own family?
Natalia sat across from Elizabeth, her gaze towards Elizabeth growing more intense.
Elizabeth was puzzled, "Natalia, why are you looking at me like that?"
"What?" Natalia snapped out of it, saying, "Was I looking? No, I wasn't looking at you."
After saying that, Natalia turned her head to look elsewhere.
Elizabeth squinted her eyes, not knowing what to say for a moment.
This Natalia was really strange.
Grant returned after seeing off the guests, and the living room finally quieted down.
Elizabeth heard Grant say, "I understood what Rocco's grandmother meant. She wants to set up our Elizabeth with Rocco!"
"See, our Elizabeth is always in demand!" Grant suddenly became proud.
Elizabeth was amused and exasperated.
Natalia stood up and said, "I have an appointment with a friend, I'm going out."
"Okay, come back early." Grant reminded Natalia.
Natalia replied, "Got it, Grandma."
After Natalia left, Elizabeth also left.
As she left Willowbrook Estate, other visitors were arriving to see her grandparents.
Elizabeth returned home to a large, empty villa.
Indeed, everything needs a bit of liveliness.
Elizabeth packed lightly, bringing only a few clothes and cosmetics, and nothing else.
Lila found out that Elizabeth was going on a trip and sent a message, [Where are you going? I could use a getaway too!]
Elizabeth: [You have free time?]
Lila: [Yeah, my schedule just cleared up.]
Elizabeth smiled: [I'm going to Coral Harbor for some beach time, sunbathing, and summer vibes. Wanna join?]
Lila: [I'm so in!]
