Chapter 1054

"Mr. Tudor, this is Coral Harbor," Eldridge looked at Alexander, a smile in his eyes.

Alexander looked at Eldridge indifferently, "And?"

What was the big deal about Coral Harbor?

If Alexander wanted, he could turn the world upside down.

Did they really think a place like Coral Harbor could limit his influence? Did they honestly believe his reputation was all smoke and mirrors?

"Around here, I'm the one who calls the shots," Eldridge smiled slightly.

Alexander smirked, "Really? If I need something done, I'm just one phone call away from making it happen."

Alexander's eyes were filled with coldness, his hand in his pocket, looking arrogant and defiant, as if he didn't take Eldridge seriously at all.

Eldridge studied Alexander quietly, the tension between them filling the silence.

Their eyes locked in a silent battle of wills.

Eldridge clenched his right fist, someone beside him whispered, "Eldridge, back off. If your dad finds out, we'll catch hell again."

"That's Alexander, we really can't afford to offend him!" The person tugged at Eldridge's arm, urging him to give up.

But so many people were watching.

If Eldridge's dignity was trampled today, how could he show his face around here again?

Word travels fast, especially bad news. If he backed down over a woman today, everyone on campus would know within the hour, wouldn't they?

The thought of being a laughingstock made Eldridge point at Elizabeth. "I just want her to have a drink with me. If she does, I won't bother her anymore. Mr. Tudor, what do you say?"

Alexander's gaze turned even icier.

Lila was furious, "You're asking for trouble."

Kieran coughed lightly, signaling Lila not to do anything rash.

With Alexander here, let him handle it.

"You too!" Eldridge jabbed his finger at Lila.

Lila spat angrily, "Shouldn't you be in bed by now? Don't you need your beauty sleep to stay alive?"

"Is this how a big star behaves?" Eldridge loosened his tie, shifting uncomfortably in his damp clothes.

"Stars are people too. When they see scum like you, they should curse you out!" Lila retorted strongly.

Alexander pursed his lips, his tone calm, reminding Eldridge, "Ms. Percy won't drink with you. And Ms. Parker? Not a chance in hell."

"Fine then," Eldridge settled into a chair. "Nobody's leaving. We'll all just stay right here."

Just then, the bar door swung open as a group of men pushed their way inside, quickly surrounding Alexander and his friends.

Alexander took in the scene with a quick glance. Eldridge's men—each one looking meaner and tougher than the next.

The bar manager panicked at the sight.

He hurried over to mediate, "Mr. Bynum, you and Mr. Tudor are both esteemed individuals, it's not good to make a scene. How about I find some pretty women to accompany you, would that be okay?"

The manager was about to touch Eldridge's arm but was pushed away by Eldridge, "No, stop with the useless talk!"

The manager's face showed displeasure.

But he didn't get angry, instead, he smiled awkwardly, "It's really not a big deal, Mr. Bynum, can't we just let it go?"

Alexander glanced at the two men, while he was messaging Nolan on his phone.

"If she doesn't drink with me, this won't be over!"

This was more than just a drink.

This was about Eldridge's dignity in Coral Harbor!

If he couldn't even handle a woman, how could he continue in Coral Harbor?

"But Mr. Bynum, this is Mr. Tudor. Losing dignity in front of Mr. Tudor isn't shameful!" The owner wiped his sweat.

Eldridge was already lucky to be able to interact with someone like Alexander.

What did losing a bit of dignity matter?

Eldridge had never interacted with Alexander; he only knew he was a local tyrant in this city.

Eldridge didn't care about any of that.
