Chapter 1057
Holden got even angrier, "Fix your attitude and apologize properly to Mr. Tudor, Mr. Getty, Ms. Percy, and Ms. Parker!"
Eldridge nearly choked with rage. Having to apologize to four people? Damn it!
But he had no choice.
He began apologizing to each of them, his voice growing progressively louder until everyone in the bar could hear.
"Ms. Percy, I sincerely apologize for my behavior. Ms. Parker, I'm truly sorry—I was completely out of line and had no right to treat you that way."
"Mr. Tudor, I apologize for my disrespect. You're welcome in Coral Harbor, and I hope you can forgive my behavior. Mr. Getty, I was wrong and I apologize."
Everyone looked at each other, not daring to make a sound.
Holden looked at Alexander, his eyes full of apology, and clasped his hands together, as if waiting for Alexander to say he forgave them.
Everyone was watching closely, the tension in the room palpable.
Alexander knew Elizabeth didn't like trouble, so he didn't want to drag it out.
"Alright." Alexander glanced at Eldridge, then at Holden, "This matter can be settled, but I have one condition."
"Of course, of course! Mr. Tudor, it's really generous of you not to take this further." Holden wiped his forehead, visibly nervous.
"Just name it, Mr. Tudor. What do you want?" Holden asked.
Alexander said calmly, "Ms. Percy and Ms. Parker will be staying here for a while. Find some suitable people to accompany them. Just as a precaution."
Alexander's gaze fell on Eldridge.
Elizabeth and Lila were about to say it wasn't necessary, but when they saw Alexander looking at Eldridge, they immediately understood his intention.
Alexander was worried Eldridge would cause trouble again.
By asking Holden to assign people to discreetly protect Elizabeth and Lila, Alexander was essentially having Holden monitor Eldridge.
Holden nodded, "You got it. I'll have people watch over Ms. Percy and Ms. Parker. Mr. Tudor, I give you my word—as long as I'm around, no one will lay a finger on Ms. Percy in my establishment!"
"And I'd like to cover Ms. Percy's tab today," Holden added politely, his tone bordering on fawning.
Elizabeth shook her head, "That won't be necessary. We can pay our own way. We don't need anyone covering for us, and we certainly don't need anyone buying us drinks."
After saying this, Elizabeth shot Eldridge a pointed look, as if to say: I have no interest in your lousy drinks.
Holden smiled wryly, "Fair enough, I overstepped. Thank you for your understanding, Mr. Tudor!"
"Mr. Tudor, I hope you enjoy your stay in Coral Harbor. If there's anything we can do better, please don't hesitate to call me. I'll take Eldridge home now, if that's alright?" Holden's deferential attitude toward Alexander surprised everyone watching.
Some newcomers glanced over at Alexander, curious about who could command such respect from both father and son of the Bynum family.
Holden grabbed Eldridge by the collar and led him away.
The bar returned to normal.
The bar manager appeared quietly and asked in a low voice, "Everything okay, Mr. Tudor?"
Alexander nodded.
He looked at Elizabeth.
Elizabeth had lost her desire to stay.
She exchanged a glance with Lila, and they both decided it was time to leave.
"Ms. Percy's bill is on the house," the owner said.
Elizabeth glanced at Alexander and said coolly, "Mr. Tudor will handle it."
Alexander squinted his eyes.
He had come to Elizabeth's aid, and she hadn't even thanked him. Now she was sticking him with the bill.
Elizabeth was clearly used to pushing people around.
But for some reason, he didn't mind being pushed around by Elizabeth.
The owner was about to say it wasn't necessary.
Alexander handed over a card and said with a smile, "No problem. I've got this."
