Chapter 1091

Cecilia glared at Lila and turned to leave.

Who would want to accept Lila's kindness!

Maybe she should call some reporters to snap pictures of Lila right now—expose how fake she really was!

In any case, Cecilia didn't believe these colleagues could be so kind-hearted.

The agent was extremely troubled when she saw Cecilia leave. She politely comforted Lila, thanking and apologizing to her.

Lila didn't mind, she just nodded.

She was really a bit tired.

After the agent and Cecilia left, the surroundings quieted down.

Lila sighed and finally closed her eyes. Unconsciously, sweat had already started to drip from her forehead.

"Feeling uncomfortable?"

Kieran's voice came from beside her.

Lila immediately opened her eyes.

Kieran was standing next to her, his long, slender fingers peeling a piece of chocolate.

Lila looked up, and he lowered his eyes. In a tacit understanding, he handed the piece of chocolate to her.

Lila's heart skipped a beat.

She parted her lips, instinctively opening her mouth.

Kieran paused, seemingly caught off guard by her response. Then he smiled and brought the chocolate to her lips.

He fed her a piece of chocolate.

Lila lowered her eyes, belatedly realizing how intimate the gesture had been.

Kieran squatted down, held Lila's hand, and said softly, "You're freezing."

"Can you still shoot later? Or should we call it off?" he asked.

Lila immediately shook her head.

His palm was warm against hers, as if he were deliberately trying to share his heat with her.

"There's just one more scene left," she said. "I'm fine. I can take a quick break and push through."

Kieran frowned.

About ten minutes later, Lila still went back to the set.

Elisha didn't know what was wrong with Lila, but she noticed her pallor. Ironically, her current state perfectly matched the character in the script, so Elisha was quite pleased.

Kieran originally didn't want to watch her shoot, but he was worried she might collapse, he stayed to keep an eye on her.

The supporting actor was struggling—laughing at inappropriate moments and constantly trying to face the camera.

Elisha kept calling "Cut!" A scene that should have wrapped in one take stretched into five or six.

Kieran stood with his arms crossed, growing increasingly irritated as he watched Lila's fragile figure.

He didn't understand what it meant to feel sorry for someone before, but now he knew.

When your heart ached at her slightest discomfort—that was feeling sorry.

He didn't know what love was before either.

Now he knew.

The foundation of loving someone was learning to care for them, to feel their pain.

If you couldn't sense the weight of their struggles—that wasn't love.

When everyone was in front of you, and you had no desire to look at her—that wasn't love.

But when everyone was in front of you, and she was the only one you wanted to see?

That was love.
