"Anyway, the woman I fancy has to listen to me!" Eldridge said with a completely rogue attitude, which made everyone a bit annoyed.

Elizabeth was furious.

A middle-aged man's angry voice cut through the room.
While everyone was wondering who this person was, only Eldridge felt a chill down his spine, his confidence instantly evaporating.
When Eldridge turned his head, the look on his face said it all.
His friends exchanged panicked glances. "Uh, Eldridge, you're on your own. We're out of here!"
With that, these friends immediately scattered in all directions!
They scrambled to leave, but were quickly blocked by the security detail flanking the newcomer.
The newcomer said sternly, "Where do you think you're going? You spoiled little punks, egging him on instead of reining him in! Do you have any idea what kind of mess you've created?"
Elizabeth and Lila exchanged glances and began to scrutinize the newcomer.
He was a man in his fifties, with neatly groomed hair and an air of integrity. He stood straight and looked very spirited.
As Elizabeth looked him up and down, she noticed that he bore some resemblance to Eldridge.

Whispers erupted around them. "Holy shit, they called in the mayor. Eldridge is screwed."

Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh.
Alexander was ruthless; he knew exactly which buttons to push. Calling Holden was the perfect move.
