Chapter 125
"Yeah." Alexander said, swirling his glass and eyeing Elizabeth with interest.
Elizabeth couldn't believe it and looked at Ethan.
Ethan, feeling awkward, nodded.
The top contenders were clearly Alexander and Joseph.
Ethan was torn between giving it to Alexander or Joseph.
Honestly, it didn't matter much; both would use the land well.
The issue was, the Tudor Group was already established, while the Stewart Group needed support.
But backing the Stewart Group might upset Alexander.
Ethan was puzzled. The Tudor Group didn't want the land initially, but after the competitors' info came out, Alexander suddenly did.
Elizabeth rubbed her forehead, feeling a headache. She asked Alexander, "Do you really need this land?"
Alexander squinted, wondering what she meant.
Elizabeth was about to speak when Alexander reminded her, "Mrs. Tudor, it's not good to side with outsiders."
Ethan quietly asked, "Mr. Tudor, Elizabeth, are you two arguing?"
The atmosphere felt off to him.
Elizabeth and Alexander both looked at Ethan.
Elizabeth said, "No."
Alexander said, "Yes."
Their voices overlapped.
Ethan felt awkward.
Alexander sneered at Elizabeth."Mr. Watson, sorry to disturb you. Elizabeth's been arguing with me lately."
Elizabeth frowned, glaring at Alexander. 'He is so hypocritical, pretending to be a loving husband in front of others!'
"Elizabeth is easy to appease, just coax her a bit!" Sophie laughed along.
Elizabeth lowered her head, not speaking.
Alexander would never coax her.
The little bit of tenderness he had left was all for Esme.
Alexander looked at Ethan again and said seriously, "Mr. Watson, please consider giving me this land."
Elizabeth looked at Alexander, thinking, 'Is he actually begging? How rare!'
Just as she was mocking him in her mind, she heard Ethan ask, "Elizabeth, what do you think? Who should get this land?"
His question stunned her. 'Why would Ethan ask me? This land decision isn't a joke.'
"Dad, what kind of question is that? Of course, Elizabeth hopes you'll give it to her husband," Sophie teased. Elizabeth's expression was awkward because she didn't want Ethan to give the land to Alexander.
Elizabeth glanced at Alexander and said softly, "The Tudor Group shouldn't be lacking this piece of land, right?" she
Alexander frowned, feeling displeased.
Elizabeth's words clearly indicated she wanted Ethan to give the land to Joseph.
They weren't even divorced yet, and she was already siding with Joseph.
Thinking of this, Alexander felt extremely angry. He picked up his suit jacket and stood up, saying to Ethan coldly, "Mr. Watson, we'll talk later."
Then he looked at Elizabeth.
Elizabeth suddenly had a bad feeling. The next second, Alexander grabbed her wrist, intending to take her out.
Elizabeth didn't want to go with him.
He then directly picked her up, his cold lips pressed against her ear, threatening, "Elizabeth, if you don't want the Stewart Group to face a crisis because of you, you'd better behave!"
