Chapter 1064
Kieran heard and quickly followed.
He pointed at Lila in confusion and asked, "Do you think I'm not calm enough? I am very calm. When it comes to feelings, I am the calmest person in the world."
Elizabeth and Alexander, sitting on the couch listening to Kieran, couldn't help but cringe on his behalf.
When it comes to feelings, Kieran was actually the most dramatic person in the world.
What was Kieran doing? How could he say such ridiculous things with a straight face?
Kieran was truly shameless!
Elizabeth took a sip of coffee and then stood up, "Let's go."
Alexander looked up at Elizabeth standing in front of him, puzzled.
Elizabeth lazily looked at Alexander with her hands in her pockets, "Don't you think those two should be alone for a while? Kieran probably doesn't want us tagging along, right?"
Alexander raised an eyebrow.
Regardless of what Kieran wanted, Alexander didn't want anyone else around when he was with Elizabeth either.
If all went well, this trip to Coral Harbor might be a fresh start for their relationship.
"Lila just needs someone to accompany her; it doesn't matter who," Elizabeth said this and had already turned to leave.
Seeing this, Alexander glanced over at Kieran. He saw Kieran still insisting to Lila that he was serious, and Alexander smiled and followed Elizabeth out.
The streets of Coral Harbor were bustling, with decorations everywhere signaling winter's end and spring's arrival. The breeze against their faces felt incredibly refreshing.
Not far from the luxury boutiques was a charming little town center.
Walking through the town, absorbing the culture of Coral Harbor, Elizabeth felt completely relaxed and comfortable.
Many shops with Coral Harbor characteristics had numerous decorations hanging outside, and Elizabeth liked every one she saw.
"This little bunny is so cute," Elizabeth said, picking up a handmade clay bunny.
Alexander had been watching Elizabeth the whole time, not noticing the scenery along the way.
The parasol above them shielded them from the strong sunlight.
Occasionally, light would filter through the gaps, illuminating Elizabeth's face with a youthful glow.
For a moment, Alexander felt like he was back in college.
Elizabeth always followed him around, but she never walked in front of him.
She always watched his back.
Now, it was his turn to watch her back.
She was so beautiful.
And it wasn't just him; many people were watching her along the way.
"If you like it, buy it," Alexander said, stepping forward to pay.
"I just said it was cute, not that I liked it or wanted to buy it," Elizabeth said, stopping Alexander from paying.
Alexander turned to look at her.
Elizabeth's face was serious, "If I want something, I'll say so."
Alexander frowned.
She seemed to have never asked him for anything.
The only thing she ever asked for was his love, which he never gave her.
She wanted him to spend a birthday with her, but he was always impatient.
Alexander pursed his lips, remained silent for a few seconds, and then slowly said, "Elizabeth, I'm sorry."
Some people's memories were filled with happiness.
Others' were filled with guilt and regret.
Elizabeth paused. "For what?"
Alexander looked into her eyes, his gaze silent and deep.
Seeing that he didn't speak, Elizabeth didn't bother to ask further.
Whatever.
Elizabeth walked ahead, and Alexander quietly followed.
She looked back several times, and he was always politely following six feet behind her.
"Why are you always following behind me? Are you ashamed to walk side by side with me?" Elizabeth couldn't understand Alexander. Why had he suddenly become so awkward, making it seem like she was deliberately distancing herself from him?
Once again, Alexander felt ashamed because of Elizabeth's words.
