Chapter 1149
Declan shook his head. Elizabeth always comforted her mom.
Rose had always been like a child, and it wasn't just him spoiling her, but Elizabeth too.
"Once the studio is up and running, I won't go to the lab anymore. The lab is on track now, and it doesn't need me there all the time. The hardest times for the lab are over."
"Mom, there's one more thing I want to do," Elizabeth looked at Rose seriously, "and that's to improve my medical skills to help grandma regain the use of her right hand."
Although Celine didn't express her sadness, she knew that Celine cried secretly many nights.
Celine had always been a strong woman, decisive in front of Grant.
But now, Grant had to take care of Celine, helping her with things she couldn't handle. This sudden downgrade was unbearable for Celine.
But she knew that Grant and Celine's feelings were as strong as ever, still in love.
"This isn't something that can be done in a day or two. Our country's medical field isn't that advanced yet," Declan reminded Elizabeth.
Elizabeth smiled, "Dad, I know."
"You've considered your career and your grandma. Is there another important thing you need to do next?" Declan asked Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was eating and looked up, "What?"
Declan reminded her, "Alexander!"
Elizabeth smiled.
"He took a bullet for you. He did pretty well during your kidnapping."
"When he was kidnapped, I did pretty well too!" Elizabeth raised her chin.
Declan nodded, "Yes, you did well too. Do you know what this means?"
Elizabeth shook her head.
"It means that what goes around comes around. Your misunderstanding started with that kidnapping, and now it ends with this one. So, I would call it a full circle," Declan laughed.
Elizabeth nodded, smiling.
At the hospital pavilion.
Elizabeth leaned against a pillar, holding a tablet and a stylus.
Not far away, Alexander was slightly bent over, talking to a little girl. The little girl smiled and reached out for a hug. Alexander pointed to his shoulder, indicating he was injured.
But after thinking for a moment, he still bent down and picked her up.
Elizabeth frowned. Alexander really couldn't say no to kids.
When they had children in the future, Alexander would definitely be the one who always listened to them.
At the very least, Alexander would be the one spoiling their daughter.
Looking at the blank screen on her tablet, Elizabeth suddenly got inspired.
Blood soaked through Alexander's clothes, and with a smile in his eyes, he said to her, "If we both come out of this safe and sound, will you marry me again?"
Elizabeth couldn't help but quickly sketch on her tablet.
Alexander, holding the little girl, glanced at Elizabeth, who was deeply engrossed in her work.
He was a bit lost in thought.
The little girl followed his gaze and couldn't help but ask, "Who is that?"
Alexander smiled and said, "That's the wife I accidentally lost."
"Lost? Is she your wife now?"
Alexander looked back and nodded, "Soon, she will be."
